Eduard Jucanis is an Imperial hired by Haldain Russus to work at his lumber camp and can be found inside, east of the entrance, being tended to by Diana Terentius.

Dialogue

As you approach him and Diana:

Eduard Jucanis: "The screaming stopped. Do you think Haldain's all right?"

Diana Terentius: "Haldain bought us time. Let me work and we can make sure his sacrifice was worth it."

Speaking to him:

"Haldain bought us enough time to run away from that awful creature.
I twisted my ankle on a root, but I think I'll be able to walk on it soon."

Who's Haldain?

"This is–was his lumber camp. If he's dead–and I make it out of here–I'll drink to his memory.
If he's alive, well, I don't think he'll blame me if I turn down his next job offer."

Why do you think he's dead?

"We heard screaming. It sounded a lot like him, but it stopped. That never means anything good."

Notes

• He, Diana Terentius, Lavinia Abitius, and Valvius Facian will disappear from the Haldain Lumber Camp after Appointed Executor is completed.
