The ingredient Cheese Wheel is only found as food. Cheese Wheels are a different ingredient from, and have different alchemical ingredients than, Cheese Wedges; Cheese Wheels are the more rare of the two. Cheese Wheels cannot be duplicated in the Arch-Mage's Enchanted Chest.

68 guaranteed samples can be found in 45 different locations (these samples will respawn, since Cheese Wheels are food). The places with the highest numbers of samples are:

• 12 are in the Imperial Prison Sewers accessed during the quest Scheduled for Execution.
• 6 are in the Imperial Prison Sewers accessed during the Tutorial.
• 3 samples are in the Brina Cross Inn
• 3 samples are in the Chorrol Mages Guild (2 in the library, 1 on the main floor)
• 2 samples are in the Roxey Inn
• 2 samples are in Bleaker's Way Goodwill Inn
• 2 samples are in Vilena Donton's House in Chorrol
• 2 samples are in The Drunken Dragon Inn

It can also be found randomly in the inventories of food vendors. Shivering Isles adds an additional 2 samples.
