Location Old Holds[edit]

  • "Winterhold, Eastmarch, Rift, and The Pale lie to the northwest..." Huh? oO Northwest, not east? Winterhold, Eastmarch uniquely located in the northeast. Rift .... Its capital Rifton? If so, the hold on the south-east ... Where the Pale? If this is one of four Old Holds, then the only logical that they would be something commonly(unity, whole... sorry, I do not know exactly how to be English. Alike: Hold = States → Old Holds = USA =) ) , and he will be the same in the east. By the way, Winterhold and Solitude referred to as the Counties - it is the similarity of the Irish Counties or simply as an area in general. — Ruesp 04:20, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
The information comes from PGE1 - here - as you can see from the cite on the page. The exact sentence is "The northern and western Holds -- Winterhold, Eastmarch, Rift, and the Pale, known collectively as the Old Holds -- remain more isolated, by geography and choice, and the Nords there still hold true to the old ways". rpeh •TCE 09:03, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Hmm. Judging from the big map of Skyrim on the wall of Bethesda's development area in this video, that information is wrong. Rift is in the southeast, and Eastmarch is in the east. Winterhold is in the north and The Pale is just south of it. We'll have to wait until the game is released though. rpeh •TCE 21:05, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
