Ellipsis or three dots[edit]

I observe both the two ellipses has been changed to three dots. Is this because the original text taken from the game uses this solution rather than the typographically correct ellipsis? (Wikipedia: Ellipsis) —MortenOSlash (talk) 06:13, 23 February 2014 (GMT)

The text that I scraped from ESOHead uses the actual ellipsis entity. I can't speak first-hand for the in-game usage, but everything else I've seen indicates that the ESOHead text is directly from the game data and thus reflects what is used there. -- Hargrimm(T) 04:51, 23 February 2014 (EST)
Then ellipses it is until proven otherwise, I guess. I used … this time. —MortenOSlash (talk) 19:20, 23 February 2014 (GMT)

A sic on "ascetic"?[edit]

I do not understand why "ascetic" is marked with a sic, as "ascetic" is a meaningful English word in it self. Taken from Merriam-Webster online: "1: practicing strict self-denial as a measure of personal and especially spiritual discipline. 2: austere in appearance, manner, or attitude." This gives meaning in the context and I can not see how this could be mistaken as an error. The word "aesthetic", as is implied to be the correct word, does not by near fit in the text as well as "ascetic". —MortenOSlash (talk) 06:00, 10 November 2014 (GMT)

Yep. It looks to be more appropriate to use ascetic instead of aesthetic, looking at the article itself in context. -damon  talkcontribs 06:03, 10 November 2014 (GMT)
