Cherim
Race Khajiit Gender Male
Resided in Orcrest

Cherim was a famous Khajiiti tapestry maker who lived in Orcrest during the late Third Era. At the height of his success he had four factories creating replicas of his works and his originals were sold for extraordinary prices. Cherim's Heart of Anequina records his interview with Livillus Perus, where he discussed one of his first tapestries, the Heart of Anequina, depicting Cherim's involvement in the Heart of Anequina during the Five Year War which took place between 3E 394 and 3E 399.[1]

Notes[edit]

Jobasha
  • Sermon Zero features a hidden message that also contains Cherim's name.[UOL 1]
  • Jobasha, the bookseller from Morrowind, was a good friend of Cherim. He once cryptically revealed that many sermons hide their secrets and mentioned the idea of studying Sermon Zero, as well as Cherim's exquisite tapestries. When asked if the Cherim who makes tapestries and the Cherim of Sermon Zero were the same, Jobasha did not deny, but also said that it's "a common misunderstanding".[UOL 2] Cherim's Heart of Anequina was among the books sold by Jobasha.[2]
  • "White Gold" is one of his finest pieces, though it's rarely seen. It depicts the White Tower, with a dragon spiraling around it and a moth priest at the summit—a famous moment, though few recall it.[UOL 2] Another of his works was a large tapestry depicting Empress Alessia breaking her chains of slavery.[UOL 3]
  • The words Jodenjone sacrificed themselves for duty, for love, for "significant form" were attributed to him.[UOL 4]
