I added a picture of the Sjobal Cave hoping this fulfill's the need of a picture. Best regards, Dorian (germany) [3.08.2007]

Thanks for trying to improve the article. However, we would prefer to obtain images that are hosted locally on UESP. Also, there is a recommended format that we would like to have used for the maps. If you would like to help create maps using that format, we'd welcome the help! --NepheleTalk 11:22, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

Should that note be a note?[edit]

Any reason why the note on the page shouldn't be incorporated into the main content? Minor Edits 22:47, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Not as far as I can see... rpeh •TCE 22:50, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Argonians may not appear if Thauraver doesn't "see" you?[edit]

I went into Sjobal after completing the main Morrowind questline, with 80% chameleon active - so Thauraver didn't "see" me and would happily chat to me when I interacted with him. However, the 3 Argonians mentioned here were nowhere to be seen, just two old skeletons. Maybe because there's a script on Thauraver which requires him to "see" you in order to activate and create the 3 Argonians he's supposed to be in the process of killing when you arrive? Just an observation.... 82.20.244.222 23:19, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Kareth.

I looked into it. In the construction set, the three Argonians are placed into the cave, and just have an HP of 0, so that as soon as they are loaded into the game (if that's the right terminology), they die. If you move super fast, you can even see their death animation. I say "loaded into the game" because they don't actually die the instant you enter the cave. It's only when you get close enough that the game seems to recognize them. In my experience that's when you get close to the ice pillar when you first enter the cave. But there's no script or anything. I tried chameleon and invisibility but no matter what, the Argonians die as soon as I get within 7200-7400-ish units of them, even if I toggle collision and go out of bounds and approach them from behind.
If they aren't there for you, maybe you have actually already visited the cave before? If you just entered the cave, walked too far into it, and then left, the Argonians would have died. Then if three days passed, their corpses would vanish, so you could come back again later and they just wouldn't be there anymore, but the Dunmer still would. And of course, if you happen to have any mods, one of them might have altered this cave.--Croup shrunk (talk) 15:43, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
