Jacob the Cardsharp is a Breton noble who lives in the Dibella Apartments, in the Imperial City Temple District.
Jacob gets up at 10am every morning and goes straight to the Arena District to watch the fights. He remains there all day until 6pm, then heads over to The King and Queen Tavern for dinner and conversation with his fellow citizens; at 10pm, he goes to the Arboretum to walk off his meal. He stays out until 2am, then returns to his apartment to retire to bed.
Jacob wears a black and gold outfit and gold-trimmed shoes, and is armed with a silver dagger; he carries a key to his apartment.
His apartment is located on the upper floor of the building. It's the smallest of the three, but crowded with furniture - a bed, cupboard, bookcase, chest, winerack, small table, and a pair of chairs. Despite his noble status, the furniture is rather utilitarian.
Jacob is friendly and always looking for a new mark: "Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you! The name's Jacob, I'm sure you've heard of me by now." If you say you've never heard of him, he's disappointed, but asks: "Oh... well, nevermind! Hey, how about a friendly game of cards? Don't worry, nothing major! Just a few little games, a septim or two, here and there! Then, after a few drinks, perhaps we could get a little more serious, hmmm? Care to try your luck?" If you tell him you don't trust him, he won't take offense: "You don't trust me? I'm hurt! What could be more trustworthy than a young chap offering to play a game of harmless cards? Here, how's this? I'll let you shuffle the deck first, hmmm? Does that make you feel better?" If you still refuse, he gets annoyed: "Bah, I'm wasting my time with you! There are too many people out there wanting to make a quick septim to spend anymore time talking with the likes of you!"
