Father Leveston searches for cures

Father Leveston is a Breton monk who tends to the patients of The Plague House, a free clinic at the eastern end of the Docks.

He rises at 6am and spends two hours walking around the building, waking everyone up. At 8am, he eats breakfast for two hours with the patients, then spends the day reading his book. At 6pm, he stops to eat dinner for two hours, then gets up to tend to the patients until 10pm, when he goes to bed.

Leveston wears a monk's robe and braided sandals; he carries a copy of Ten Commandments of the Nine Divines, a loaf of rye bread, and two apples.

Leveston is a kind soul, but not used to seeing healthy people: "My word, a healthy soul has entered our midst! You're a very brave one to venture into these parts..." If you ask what the Plague House is, he'll tell you: "It is a refuge for those who bear the mark of disease, a safe haven for them to recover from their debilitating illnesses..." If you ask what he's doing there, he says: "Well, someone has to care for them, supply their medicines and herbs, and look after their general well-being..." He's not afraid of getting sick, either: "There is always the chance, but I swore an oath a long time ago to care for those less fortunate than myself... So, in a way, looking after these people is my duty in life..."
