title says it all.. after I changed my race through command console from Breton to Dunmer, I'm still being addressed as Breton by NPCs... went through it couple of times, as well as through all the commands and couldn't do anything about it...
it's just a minor cosmetic flaw but it would be nice to fix it.

any ideas?
cheers

Everyone who refers to you as a Breton?

Kill them. They know too much.

--Honestly, I've no idea. Only thing I can think of would be to delete those saves and make a new character, and STICK WITH ONE RACE  granted, I don't game on PC much, so...

Race changing is known to cause some minor bugs, that is why whenever you use the racemenu it is not advisable to change your race as well, for it can also do evil things on your skills.
If you want to change race, roll another character and if you want things from the old one, cheat.

Changing race is generally unadvised because of the problems it causes. However, I'm unsure if the setrace command carries the same problems (I'm sure it does though.)

Derp, my fault.

Still, in pretty much all of the TES games (with a console), showracemenu can cause some problems.

Maybe there's a mod somewhere out there that lets you change up your character on the fly without the negative repercussions. Magic Mirror or something of the sort.

I had the same problem, I changed my character from Imperial to Khajiit and they refer to me as my new race in the conversation box, but outside that I was always Imperial. I ended up starting over a new game. At least this bug doesn't affect Oblivion. I don't know if this affects Skyrim though.
