What confuses me is why so many people are picking Doc Martin, this is another of those British TV series where the star of the show is the scenery. Similiarly, Game of Thrones, I watched maybe 20 minutes of the first episode with high hopes, but after 2 bouts of pointless nudity I gave up, thought it was very seedy, given that Daenerys is 13 when she marry's Drogo in the book.

The plot is so big, it often seems non-existant. It all depends on what a good plot is to you. The books are brilliant, one of the best works of fantasy I have ever read. Everyone considering getting into the series should read the books first.
