Thief has no damaging skill?
And why is alchemy not a magic skill.
Someone mind explaining how these changes all work?
And why is Archery a combat skill O_O does that mean that a stealth character will start with less?

Thief has no damaging skill?

Those categories they have aren't organized like that in the game. You don't choose one for a bonus or anything.

And why is alchemy not a magic skill.

Each of the three schools have a crafting skill. Warrior = Smithing, Magic = Enchanting, Stealth = Alchemy

And why is Archery a combat skill O_O does that mean that a stealth character will start with less?

You don't choose Warrior/Stealth/Magic or anything like that at the beginning of the game. So the only way to boost your Archery stat from the beginning is to choose a race that gets a bonus to that stat.

Sounds mightily confusing.
Well I'll find out myself. I'll probably buy it this week.

However. A single question. Is a skill like alchemy still available to all or can only thieves use it? o.o

okay one last time
there are NO classes, no majior skills, no minor skills

Each skill starts at 15 (or 10 not sure) and then you pick your race, they get a +5 to some skills

you then play the game, if you use blade it will go up, if you use sneak it will go up, you have no class. Do you understnad, you can use anything you want. thinik like this, all skills are now either majoir or minor skills, there are no "special" skills for you, if you rase one handed to 25, you will get lets say 30 points to level up (thse are not the real points I do not know the real points) but if you rase two handed to 20 it will only be 15.5 or somethign (again not the real numbbers)
So you can raise ewvrey single skill if you want but it wont let you level up as fast as picking say one or two skills to level up only

There is no thife class there is no mage class there is no Fighter, it lets you make the person you want instead of being stuck in one class.

you can do EVREYTHING

Actually, you guys are forgetting . You choose one and it makes you level 20% faster in skills of either Combat, Magic or Stealth. Choosing the Warrior might be considered the best option unless you're a Mage, because you should be doing a fair amount of combat. Really, having Daggers as part of a modification of the Pickpocket skill or something instead of One-handed might have balanced it a little, but apart from the Guardian Stones, it's of little consequence.

Sneaky characters can do more damage than any other type in the game. How? Backstabs, that's how. With daggers.

True, but in doing so they are utilising Combat skills. If daggers came under Stealth, they would not need to do so. And yes, I know it doesn't really matter at all.
