I think it just sucks that there's no dragon weapons. I was really counting on it. I'll be investing perks in Heavy armour, but I'll be using it after getting to lv 100 with Light armour, so I'll be using it later on in the game. At first I thought of Putting perks in Light armour, but I find Dragon smithing to be quite useless, so I'm not even getting it, and I'll stick with Daedric.

My experiences: At low levels, I needed Steed Stone to compensate the weight (as at the beginning there's huge need for money, i.e. carrying capacity). What I didn't first notice, was that I also need magic resistance at the beginning (later it could be enchanted to armor; and vice versa, light armor can be enchanted to protect more). So, I changed to light armors + shield; I will later try heavy armor playing again. It takes time until you are ready to pick the perk to make heavy armor weightless, and those can be hard times...

Well, light armor definitely is good for someone who carries around a lot of stuff. Heavy armor limits your encumbrance to an almost decapacitating degree, but it deifinitely helps if you want to get close.

Of course, since I'm playing unarmed, I'm not that into it. But it works rather similar to Oblivion in that regard.
