September would probably be best. The forums will be a tad empty in November. It also helps me, since I may get a new, very nice photography camera on the 26th of July.

You know me, Avron. The last minute guy.

Can we have another writing competition? I never got to do one because I joined late. :(

Maybe there could be a Roleplaying competition! :D

Maybe a competition as how well someone can create an original piece of Great House work relating as to what are the rules of the Great House and why YOU should join.

Much like "Affairs of Wizards" "Hope of Redoran" And "Fortune" something.

As such you must make it original, little referencing the original writers (Aryth Sarethi, Avron and Curio...*shrudder*), as well as making it unique.

Thus a Telvanni would mention the various "individualistic freedoms one obtains that the strict Redoran or the Imperial-worshiping Hlaalu do not possess; as they do not unleash themselves and understand that the people will do whatever they wish even with in those situations. But under the glorious House of Telvanni, you are a Free Mer, You Are capable of Anything."

You could do that for this months Comp. And link it to the Councillor by saying that he/she wrote it .

I would recommend the former.

Could be cool, Avron should be back around October, so that could be an idea for then. Although there's also a music Comp and a writing Comp on the table too.

A photo competition would be fresh and exciting - I am certainly going to do one. Remember, CotMs don't have to be TES related. Of course I prefer that since we are brought here by the common thread of our love for TES games, but we are welcome to step outside the boundary once in a while!

I believe CotMs hosted by me personally will resume in November. So tell me what you want to see for November, fellow UESPers, and in October we'll put it to a vote to see what we'll do! How's that sound?

I'm not sure how many people would be interested in that, but I'll add it to the list as a possibility!

Something Alduin or Skyrim/Nord related? Art/Stories of the dragon god? Art of Skyrim? Stories following the Nords' Oral traditions?

How about designing a Dovakiin character? I guess a lot of people will be thinking about their character and his/her backstory, personality, etc. for Skyrim, so why not seize on that creativity and take pen to paper when it's fresh? Just an idea.

For November I think it's only fitting that we do a Skyrim themed contest (assuming there are going to be people who are around and willing to contribute!). How does that jive with everyone?

What I think I'll do from now on is run a poll about what we'll do, and then we can vote. That way I make sure that things we run are things people are actually interested in. But I want to incorporate some ideas from this thread, especially the music ones, since that tends to get a lot of noise. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try something new. Who knows - you might be good at it!

Boo! down with the Skyrim competition. There is only one thing we should be celebrating above all next month, and that is Guy Fawkes night... not sure what type of competition would go with that mind you, but I see of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot. Savvy?

Good idea, Jeff. It's better to plan things that people will participate in.

And Dean...tempting. Very tempting. 8)

I like Duruza's idea. I've already started writing a bit of background on my characters, so I could shape that up into a submission pretty easily. I would be good because i's combining two things I'm interested in. I wanted to participate in the last two comps, but I haven't had the time to go off and make entries, particularly because I was on holidays in Septmber, even though I did want to enter.

Btw, I could still post my entry for the Sep Comp, if Duruza still wants to make an anthology. It's a journal of the exodus from Morrowind, although I never got to finish it.

You can send Durza anything you want, and they can do with it as they please.

The September Competitin is over, and Chaos is the only one who cared enought to make a submission... the end.

- - - - - - - - - - -

You Can.Not make a Character for a game that is not out yet.

If you wait to do a Skyrim Related Competition for November, then people will.not do one.

Do not do to Avron what you all did to Chaos in September.

If members decide that due to the release of Skyrim, that they want to pass on a November Competition, that is fine... but do not start something that you will.not.finish. It is not fair for those that are expecting something.

I kinda have to agree with Jeffrey on doing anything skyrim related. Getting round to playing the game and enjoying the first few fresh weeks of it will no doubt be what most people will be engrossed in. Saying you will do something, and actually doing something are two totally different things. You may get an entry or two... but I reckon skyrim related things would be better left to December or January where they will get more of a hit from members who have calmed down a bit.

Come to think of it, Skyrim would no doubt be quite christmas-ey with the snow and pines... just some food for thought there.
