Hello, I'm playing Oblivion on a PC, and I wonder how can I properly start the Dark Brotherhood questline using the console. I'm trying not to level up, so I took advantage of Through A Nightmare, Darkly to trigger the first visit of Lachance, and now I don't know how to trigger the second one without sleeping.

I have tried the obvious (setstage Dark01Knife 30), but it's of no use, because the "Sanguine, my Brother" option does not appear when I talk to the door of the Sanctuary, so I cannot enter it.

You could sleep in Benirus Manor if you haven't cleansed it yet, or you could become a vampire. Neither of those trigger a level up but might be enough to summon Lucien.

I did the first already, and Lachance didn't appear. Nice questline though.

I'll try to become a vampire, but... isn't that really hard to cure?

I always seem to start the DB quests accidentally. Like if I’m doing the main quest and one of the Imperial guys jumps between me and the creature I’m fighting with my bow. *sigh* Stupid AI, almost exactly like real people.
