"Like it or not, we all got lumped in here together Sherwood," Alex stated, "So get used to it, promise I won't bite."
Alex then turned Dick.
"Are you for real? It means I'm pretty much a soldier for hire."

"What is a Telemore?" Dick inquired as he poured himself yet another drink and realised that he could be coming across as rude. "Would any of you like a drink?" He offered everyone in the room. "I do not understand the meaning of soldier and for that, I apologise. I do hope I've not offended you." He told the human that answered his question.

"It's..." Viktor began, he paused almost immediately. He was going to say it's part of one's DNA but he didn't think that would help the lizard man understand what he was talking about. "It's a science thing. Don't worry about. I can get samples if I need them." Viktor waved his hand dismissing the topic of discussion. He looked at Alex. "Do you have a lot of experience with firearms?"

Alex just shook his head in disbelief at Dick.
"Yes, yes I do, extensively trained in standard infantry weaponry as well as more specialist equipment."

Having been freed from the overly complicated mobile prison KIRIN had put him in. He didn't even have a chance to ask how one of the guards daughters were (a favorite of his, always riles them up) before being pushed unceremoniously into the room. Landing flat on his face. He rolls onto his back. A thought crosses his mind.

"Oh, that's good."
"I forgot how to walk."

It takes him a few moments to get on his feet, but once he does he acts like nothing happened.

The voice was talking again.

"I don't think I'm supposed to be here at all," Amanda said. "I'm just a college student. No powers, just problems, and being kidnapped hasn't helped."

She put her water down and stood, wrapping her arms around herself, holding her elbows in her hands. "I need to go. I need to get out of here. I just want the voice to stop," she said as she walked briskly to the door.

"I apologise if I have misunderstood what you are but I am led to believe that you are part of the human society that kills not for themselves but for a reward in some manner or out of a duty to someone." Dick told the human that answered his question as he got a clean glass and poured the man a drink. "I do hope you will enjoy this." He went to give the man the drink.

"Cold hard cash usually," Alex shrugged, "I've had my drink ta, so you got a name?"

"I'm going to see what on Earth's going on. I don't like this talk of kidnapping. This whole thing is starting to sound extremely dodgy." Sherwood got off the sofa and walked towards the door, looking at his watch to see how long they'd been waiting around.

A person stepped in front of Amanda and Sherwood. "E-rm. Us at KIRIN would appreciate it if you could.. like stay you know.." The perhaps 23 man raised his hands to stop them, his blond hair curled down around his nape and eyes. He was wearing a black and red long sleeved T-shirt with a Superboy symbol on it and jeans. "The Director will be.. er.. with you.... She's in a meeting.. right now." His grey-blue eyes looked down for a second. "Just.. wait until then.. yeah?" Then he made eye contact with Sherwood, his right eye was inverted, white pupil, grey-blue sclera.

The drinks were good, if rather alcoholic and judgement inhibiting. Dick could feel the alcohol affect his balance slightly, his limbs felt a tiny bit heavier.

Amanda's eyes popped open wide when the man with the Superboy shirt stepped in front of her. She stopped suddenly, and after he was finished speaking asked, "Why am I here? Can I just go home?"

Jute Turned his head towards the curly haired sprigott when he mentioned the Director and the meeting.

He'd walk over towards the twenty something man. "So how well do you know the director?" he asked.

Where did he pop out from? Sherwood thought, as the man stopped them in their tracks. As he saw his eyes, he noticed that the colours of one were inverted. He must be a spigot! I wonder if he teleported in here?

He sighed in frustration at the news that the director would be along shortly. "Well, I damn hope so. This is getting ridiculous!"

"I feel rather odd." Dick remarked as he slowly felt the effects of the drink take hold of him. "I have many names but only possess one that I own for I seem to attract many names based on how I look or what I have done but I think I may be avoiding a direct answer and for that, I apologise. I do hope you are not offended by this as I am rather new to speaking with humans that don't seek to wish me harm. The name that I own is Dick Lains but whether that means anything or not, I sadly do not own the knowledge." He informed the human that worked for cold hard cash. Although why the human needed cold hard cash, Dick had no idea.

Better to keep the big guy friendly...
Alex extended his hand.
"Hold back on those drinks Dick," Alex said, "Until I know why we're here, you can call me Armament."

"Your hand is extended. Is there a purpose to it? I mean, if it's not offensive for me to inquire about that gesture." Dick inquired before downing the glass he had made for Armament. "With all due respect, I would like to take full advantage of drinking something that is not sewer water and this is a rather good drink. I rarely get to indulge in other sources of liquid but I apologise for being rude. It is a pleasure to meet with you, Armament but is pleasure the correct term for this occasion? If not, I apologise for my grasp on interactions with others are limited due to a bad tendency of me being attacked for little to no reason." He said to Armament with a smile, which revealed his teeth.

Superboy seemed to shrink back. "Er, well.. I.. don't think you can.. like.. we kind of.. need you.." He mumbled to Amanda. "The director.. will know more about why you're here.. I'm.. Just a new operative... I don't like... know the director that well.. But.. she.. erm.. is nice.." He stated, before his eyes snapped up. "Erm.. I'm codenamed.. Wallflower.. but everyone just call me Wren.." Wren stated, his gaze now focused on his feet. "Sorry.. about the wait."

Sherwood screwed up his face in annoyance and leaned against the wall.
I knew I shouldn't have come here. Should've stuck with my normal friends. Might be alright, though - wait and see what this tardy director says.

He took out his phone and started to write a text message:

( Hey Paul, This thing at KIRIN's runnin late. Might be dodgy, dunno. Call you when I'm out. Sher )

"You're supposed to shake- ah never mind," Alex said with a shake of his head, "You're certainly a...character huh?"

"Need me for what?" Amanda asked. "I'm not a lizard man, or a person sewn together, or have any kind of power." She bent over, putting a hand on Wallflower's shoulder and tilted her head so she could look pleadingly into his eyes. "I just want to go back home."

Well that's good, at least I'll have someone to talk to. thought Viktor after Armament said he had knowledge of firearms. He was going to say more to Armament but was interrupted by Wallflower entering the room.

"Oh my god- Tell me, does her rug match her curtains?" he asked 'super shy-guy', keeping a expressionless face.

"I've been waiting to ask that for way to long, maybe I'm insane like they say?"
"I wonder if she'll activate my collar for that? Probably not until after we've been used up" jute thought.

"What is the purpose of shaking? Is it part of some ritual greeting as per human culture or is it a gesture of one's intention to greet another? If it is the latter, I apologise for not engaging in this." Dick told Armament. "What is a character?" He inquired.

"It's a greeting," Alex told, "It's used to be civil, or show friendship."
Bloody hell, he's simple.

Wren blinked from Jute's question. "E-Erm.. I wouldn't know about that." He mumbled, his gaze turned to Amanda now. "I'm.. Sorry.. but.." Then everyone could hear the door open. Wallflower gave a half choked noise and then he vanished like he wasn't ever there. Into the room entered a woman, latina, dressed smartly in a grey suit over a purple shirt, a purple tie tucked around her neck. Smart shoes (not heels, shoes) clanked against the stage as she stepped onto it.

The projector started to whir. "Hello." The woman said simply, sounding like she just had a cigarette while walking, her eyes flinted between all of those present, even where Wallflower was. "I am the director of Kirin. Jess Nibela, Jacobin Nimble is my codename. You may call me how you wish, please. Have a seat." She gestured to the comfortable chairs before her as the projector started up the first slide. 'Welcome To KIRIN' was upon the board behind her, seemingly floating half an inch off it. "You're going to need it." Her brown eyes had a stand of her brown hair across both of them, the bun upon her head seemed to have failed.
