I've recently tried to play Oblivion again after a long hiatus from the game. However I've come across a glitch I've never seen before and I can't find any other reported instances of this glitch. It happens at the end of the tutorial, after Uriel Septim dies and you go into the part of the sewers with the goblins, the area just before going outside for the first time, upon entering this room, my character immediately falls through the floor. I'm playing on an XBOX360. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Where do you end up after you fall through the floor and what can you see?

I end up floating above a body of water, if I look up I can just about see the area of the sewers, everything else is just a dark blue colour.

Have you got an save/autosave file from before you went into the sewers? If so, try loading that and going into the sewers again.

First thing I did, it didn't work. I've got the GOTY edition so I'm going to try uninstalling SI and NOTN then trying again.

Yikes.

You could try that thing where you press and hold the 'A' button on the controller while the game is first loading (up until the "Bethesda Softworks" logo appears) - that might force the game to reload its data for that duff area.

I suppose 'waiting' for 1 hour might be worth a go as well, who knows...

Both long shots I'm afraid. :|

Right I'll try that out, thanks for the advice. To be honest I think the problem might be my disc, I've had it for about 7 years so it could just be completely worn out.
