Wakefield

Wakefield jumped at the Prince's voice and chuckled at his own nervousness. "Gladly." He said to the Prince with a nod. He stood from his seat and began to walk towards the Prince's office.

Ash

Ash almost swerved off the road from being startled. "Ah, [&@%!], I wish I could have been ready for that." she mumbled. "Well... that's done, huh?"

Mumph raised his hands up in the air and hooted like he was on a rollercoaster. "Woooohoo! More splosion! Blood and esplosions...fun, good, feels good. Let's do more."

Wakefield and the Prince took a lift up to her office. The office was luxuriously decorated and had fine red carpet. There was a black leather sofa in the office, the Prince sat down on it and indicated for Wakefield to sit next to her. "Do you want anything to drink?" asked the Prince. She signaled to the black mini-fridge next to the sofa. "It has human and animal. Or Elder and Virgin if you don't want to say it so crassly."

Wakefield

Adderyn looked at the elegant but professional office and was genuinely impressed. He looked at the prince and nodded with a smile. "Yes, I would like that very much, thank you." Adderyn said as he reached down into the mini fridge grabbing a bottle of the virgin, as he wasn't paying for it. "Do you prefer 'my lady' or 'your grace'?" Adderyn asked. Even though he was a smart mouth he recognized the hand that the prince had in saving his life even without her title she had certainly earned his debt.

"You can call me Naoise if you like. Just address me as the Prince at formal events." said Naoise to Adderyn. "I wanted to talk to you about my Seneschal, Aidan. He's at the farm at the moment. It's where we get the blood, failed asylum seekers who were going to be deported. It's horrible I know, but they'd just die anyway if we sent them back home and it's better than people being attacked on the streets of the city. Lesser of all evils." Naoise added. She looked into Wakefield's eyes. "I don't trust him as of late, I think he might be working with the Invictus, not sure. Rare for a ghoul to turn on their master but I wouldn't put it past him. That buisness with the Draugr, sending you to the cemetery unarmed?" Naoise shook her head. "I want your opinion of him, your honest opinion."

Wakefield

Adderyn was immediately made uncomfortable by the situation. He took a sip of his blood and tried to find the words the prince was looking for without bumbling theme. "He's an ass." Wakefield blurted out to the prince suddenly, Adderyn's hand coming up to cover his mouth like a child. Realizing this; he relaxed:

"Though, whatever he's done he's always tried to make it seem like he was doing it for your own best interest even if he was misguided in that. Sending us unarmed in the hopes we would meet our death was likely to spare you any embarrassment that a bunch of green fledglings might bring you. It was backhanded and certainly wrong in my eyes, but it was backhanded and wrong for the right reason."

Eventually the trio of Kris, Mumph and Ash arrived back to Duke Butler's estate.
----
The Prince nodded. "He is an ass. It's probably why he hasn't had a boyfriend for the last decade, most people can't stand him for more than a few minutes." said the Prince. "But it's nice to know you think he's still loyal, I'll just have to rein him in a bit." She added. The Prince sat back on her seat, relaxed. "So how have you been adjusting to all this? It must be hard."

Wakefield

Adderyn was surprised at how quickly the prince had accepted his words on Aidan but he decided to leave well enough alone for now. "That's an understatement, I can see why most fledglings are either killed or die within their first few years." He said, downing the animal blood with a single gulp. "Between the Draugr, the Hunters and my 'friends'-" Adderyn said sarcastically about his fellow fledglings. "- I have had more near-death experiences in the past few days than in the rest of my life beforehand." He said smiling at the strangeness of it all.

"Ah, the other fledglings. My sire had another childe, Matthew Archer. Don't know if you've met him, once I became Prince he defected to the Invictus. Not that I miss him. He's Christie's sire too and he hates Matthew even more than I do. Not that Matthew's ever considered Christie to be a 'he'." said the Prince. She exhaled showing her frustration about the topic of her sibling of sorts. "So, what are your 'friends' like?"

Wakefield

"The ones who arent completely insane would kill you over the change in your pocket. The only one I can stand is Ash, because she's funny and is at least honest when it comes to her loyalty; or lack of thereof rather." Wakefield said to the Prince, chuckling slightly.

"Uhnn." Mumph grunted, perhaps in agreement. He left the car and headed up to the house.

Ash walked in tandem with Mumph. Hopefully they'd be well-compensated.

Kris stepped out and walked after Ash and Mumph, nervously chewing upon his lips. "You know what, after this we should go clubbing, that's always fun for all the family."

"Maybe you'll be bickering for the next century or so." said the Prince. She was going to say more but as she was about to speak the Sheriff, Omar Bauer opened the door to the office. "Well, at least one of them is still alive." said Omar. "What do you mean?" asked the Prince. "Somebody attacked the Fledgling's Haven, most of them are dead although some of them are still unaccounted for. There was a message, left in body parts on the floor. 'VII'." The Prince's face dropped at the mention of the VII. "Is it them?" the Prince asked in a deadly serious tone. "Maybe, maybe it's just somebody else pinning it on them. But after what happened in Galway..." said Omar.
----
The trio of Fledglings headed to the room where Duke Butler had been, he was still there, sitting in his chair. "Is it done?" asked Bulter. He looked at the group for a second and raised an eyebrow. "Where's Dorian?"

Mumph laughed out loud. A slow, menacing belly laugh. "Ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaa! Him...he's worried."

Ash cleared her throat at Mumph, then nodded to Mr. Butler. "Yeah, it's said and done. Dorian stayed behind to detonate the package. He said he'd be here later. And Cillian is dead." She clarified, before pausing to scratch her chin. "Mr. Butler, what have we just gotten ourselves into? I'm fine with the gift of the car and advancing ourselves, of course, but I'd like to know about the... 'Factions' having it out in this city." She asked.

Now was not the time to be snarky. This man was too powerful for that.

Wakefield

While many people would've felt some immediate disgust, fear or maybe something at all, Wakefield merely felt as if something was happening to someone else. It was too soon for him to feel anything. "Well that's troubling..." Wakefield said listening to the whole thing. "What does Vll mean to you?" He asked the Naoise.

"They're boogeymen. Kindred who for whatever reason kill all other kindred. I used to think they were just a myth. But we heard a rumor about one being in Galway a few weeks ago, now there's no Kindred left in the city. If you thought human hunters were bad..." said Naoise exhaling in frustration. "I'm starting to think nothing's a myth. If they're smart and they are smart, they're going to get us to fight each other and then kill off whatever's left. "
---
"Well there are the Carthians, what's left of them. Communists, rabble-rousers. You've already had dealing with them. Ordo Dracul, they were fine when they were just a society who studied the Kindred condition but Naoise and her sire before her has it in their head that she's somehow suited to running the city." said Duke Butler." "Then there are the Invictus, us, the rightful rulers of Kindred society. Unlike the Carthians we don't delude ourselves with ideas of democracy. We'll rule because we're strong and because we can. That's how it's always been. So far it's just Mr Archer, Martina and myself. We're also allied with the Lancea Sanctum, have been for some time. Although alliance is a strange word to use when they only have one member, Bishop Brennon. And he mostly keeps to himself. But think of them as the Second Estate to our First Estate."

Mumph focused really, really hard on what was being said, and what he was going to say. "So...what...Are we going to do next?"

Kris shrugged. "I suggest clubbing. We got a car, I should have some money left.. somewhere." He mumbled so Ash and Mumph could only hear. "So what I hear is we need to beat out the Carthians and this Ordo Dracul to rule the city?" He asked, piping out louder for Butler to hear.

Ash nodded to Butler once he was done explaining. She liked his style; shame that she would have to dispose of him at some point if she continued her plotting and scheming. But for now, some rest would be in order. And that, of course, meant clubbing.

"Is there anything else that you need us for right now?" She asked, keeping a respectful air. "Or are we free to go for now?"
