Yeah, Fallout usually comes out in between the TES Games....??? In fact, everywhere is suggesting Fallout 4, not TES VI.

I would be absolutely dumb founded if they announced TES VI before several years after fallout 4 came out honestly. As much as I love TES games I could wait a year or two before another one came out. But I feel like it could be as far as 3 at least before we get another one.

if there is any evidence that they will NOT be showcasing a new engine with a Fallout 4 release, I'd like to hear it and be prepared.

I do know where that comes from, let me tell you! It is extremely stupid!

The original source for the Argonia rumors floating is , a website dedicated to Korean soapboxes. It is not a trustworthy source, for multiple reasons. One, they provided a cover of the game that was clearly just the cover for Skyrim to be photoshopped with some fox on it, and is from a website on the which uses it on a game idea article. Two, they claimed that their source was the "Tehran Times". If you are not familiar with it, that is a news source, from Iran. It is an even less good source. They have since changed the mentions of "Tehran Times" to "Tehran Chronicle", it seems, which is also some shady fly by night news outlet. They also have claimed the game has already been announced at EGX 2014, a show that Bethesda did not even attend to my recollection.

The "information" that was gathered was Googling "Elder Scrolls", and seeing a bunch of really shoddy websites copy pasting that initial story. What I'm saying is that every news source that talks about the game being rumored to be Argonia is confirming how incredibly terrible their fact checking is.

So could it be Elder Scrolls VI: Argonia, maybe? It's not impossible, simply due to the fact that the game has to be set somewhere and they may just go the "name it after the province" route again. Is there any proof that it will be? Not at the moment.

Edit: That actually might be the wrong source! As I said, these sites are kind of shady, that's the one I remember seeing pop into my news feed before it started showing up everywhere else though. I will try to confirm where this all came from, and write something about this.

Edit 2: This is the I can find, September 5th. To give you a taste of what that source is like, this is from the first paragraph: "With no news readily available for the next installment in the Elder Scrolls series, naturally, people will click on this link."

Also, River, I added you to confirmed users so you can post links.

Thanks for your post, AKB. I had read about the Argonia thing, but something in it felt off, particularly the purported logo of the game. (Really, a fox?). Now I know it's all hogwash. It's particularly revealing that the source is said to be an Iranian newspaper, of all things. I don't really think computer games get that much press in Iran.

As for the press conference, I really hope they'll reveal something about the next TES game. Of course, it would be the usual marketing hype, but even that could give an idea what's in store for us. It's been over three years now since Skyrim came out, so the development of TES VI should be well underway. But well, we'll see in June.

I kind of hope it's not a Fallout game, as I don't like that series, but I strongly doubt Bethesda is going to release two main Elder Scrolls titles in a row when fans have been clamoring for another Fallout game for a while now.

Fallout 3 was very well reviewed and sold a lot of copies. Bethesda would be foolish to not capitalize on this franchise. I personally thought it was a fine game, although much smaller and more linear than Oblivion was, IMO. At least it felt that way to me. I enjoyed the mechanics and aesthetics of it very much, and Obsidian's use of the engine in New Vegas was even better, although that's my opinion and the fandom seems to be split roughly 50/50 on that.

I too prefer if fallout 4 is to be developed by Obsidian; NV was the superior game.

My personal wish is announcement of Dishonored 2, though I won't even mind a HD Remaster of TES 3 (hey, it works for Resident Evil 1 & Homeworld...)
