I looked on this site to find the easiest way to become a vampire. I found the advice that you can slay a vampire and then search the body until you get infected. My question is, does this work only on the PC version, or does it work on the xbox version as well? The reason I'm asking this is because I was repeatedly searching a slain vampires body a whole bunch of times and I never contracted Porphyric Hemophilia or whatever that disease is called.

It should work on either one.

It does work on Xbox. You may have a disease resistance.

doesn't the main quest give you disease resistance at some stage? or being a werewolf?

The main quest does give 100% Disease Resistance at one point as part of the Nerevarine Prophesies. Plus, you should be careful about which strain of vampirism you contract in Morrowind. There are three different "clans" and they confer different abilities. You can only become a vampire of a specific clan by contracting the disease from a member of that clan. All vampires are part of one clan or another and once you've been infected by one and become a vampire, the only way to change it is using console commands, which are only available on PC (so then why do they call it "console"?)
