This should be a very well beaten subject, but I still have some specific questions (YES! I have read Morrowind:Enchant):

Is there any real benefit (aside from cost, which is not areal problem) doing Enchantment yourself instad of using "professional" service?
I mean: can I squeeze more magic effects unto the same enchanted object, somehow? Will it "last longer" (although this doesn't really matter with a 110+ Enchant skill)?

IFF benefit is real then I should invest some time to prepare something to really boost my (maxed out) Intelligence/Enchant/Luck; I'va found out several hints (Enchant suit, for example), but no real guide. Can someone give a detailed account of the process involved?

There are several “methods” to enchant items yourself, but if you can do that then you can just as easily and likely summon and soul trap Golden Saints at will in order to “harvest” (farm) the souls you need for CE enchantments.

If you can do that then you can also farm their equipment which includes very expensive daedric quality weapons and shields, which you can in turn sell in exchange for services, so to answer your question, no, there’s no real “benefit” to self-enchanting that I’m aware of.

You still need to provide the soul (gem), the effect, and the gear to be enchanted so save yourself some trouble and enlist the services of an enchanter in exchange for some of that loot.

The only real benefit of DIY enchanting is that earlier on the 10s of 1000s of gold even simple enchantments cost is pretty out of reach for most people. Later on you're swimming in septims so you can afford the enchantment upfront then just sell expensive loot to them to make the money back.

If you wanna do it yourself I found the easiest way is to pop to the sadrith mora imperial cult shrine and buy ashyams + netch leather or bloat to make loads of fortify int potions and just keep looping till you have about 2000 int. That should be high enough for enchants to always succeed.

The only item you need to pay to have enchanted is an exquisite ring with fortify Enchant skill (x48, x100, x100, x100, x100) for 2 seconds on self. That is enough to enchant most anything. You can then enchant a second by yourself and use both if you want to CE enchant a Daedric Tower shield. Super powerful potions that boost your intelligence & luck run the risk of glitching your game. Good luck!

You do realize you can simply make a spell for that, right? Custom Fortify Enchant 100 pts x8 for 1 sec. If your Resto skill isn’t high enough then simply cast a Fortify Resto 100 pts for x sec (x being however long it takes to get off the Fortify Enchant spell, usually ~5 sec).

Yes of course. However, rather than casting a spell so that I can cast another spell, I just make an enchanted item.

You can also fortify Restoration then fortify any skill x800 and cast semi permanent spells like a Summons or bound armor.
