Hi I play as an Argonian (75 disease resistance) and I am also a vampire (100 disease resistance) which gives me total of 175 disease resistance. Now my question is with 175 disease resistance why am I still catching diseases? I mean shouldn't I be completely immune with just 100 disease resistance? I thought that I wouldn't have to deal with periodically visiting chapels to rid myself of ailments after becoming a vampire (Heck some of them don't even work since I'm "wicked" and "a sinner")

Does anyone know how to fix this? It is very annoying.

Resist Disease is bugged, and even with patches it has no effect.

Just keep a few Mandrake Roots on hand. Get into the habit of picking it whenever you come across some out in the field.

Really? It worked fine in Morrowind; why'd they have to go and screw it up in Oblivion!?

Well I guess since disease resistance is part of the main quest in Morrowind it would have been more thoroughly tested... But still I discovered the resist disease bug the same day I became a vampire so just imagine what wonders a beta test would have done for Oblivion
