I have just stolen the list of candidates from the desk.

I am working my back through the secret passage way.

The Prima Game Guide mentions the there are two exits from the secret passage. One leads to the castle staff's private chambers, The other leads to a secret cave under the castle. It has an outside entrance to the harbour. Nobody lives here, so you can make it your own if you want.

This is the problem -I can't find that other exit!

Has anyone else found it?

I've entered the cave (Smuggler's cave?) from the outside (unless the are two caves under the castle). It's got a very hard lock. Inside there is another locked door, which needs a key. I assumed the cave was for an expansion game.

The doors are not marked on the map, so I marked them with circles. The Red Circle leads to the Smuggler's Cave. The Blue Circle leads to the Countess's room.

You cannot unlock the door to the Smuggler's Cave without the Thieve's Den plug-in (unless you use the console to open it).

The only purpose this passage has outside of the Thieves Den plug-in, is easy access to the Royal Quarters and the Base Ring of Restoration laying on the table outside on the balcony.

No guards are present in the Countess's room during the day as far as I know, so you should be free to loot the place.

"You cannot unlock the door to the Smuggler's Cave without the Thieves Den plug-in (unless you use the console to open it)".

Hi,

Thanks for your help, this looks very useful!

Obviously, you are not on the same platform as me, (I'm PS3). I don't have access to all of these fixes and upgrades unfortunately.

What do you mean by using the console to open it?

I'll have a look at this again today, in the meantime have you any insight to the Skingrad Castle butler, (Shum go Yarug)?

I want to buy a house in Skingrad and evidently I have to approach this guy to do it. He is not where he is supposed to be when he is supposed to be there, i.e. The West Weald Inn at between 10:00am and 12:00 Noon or the Colovian Trader a couple of doors down from there on till I think 4:00pm when he is supposed to head back.

The information I have so far is that he may have "fallen off a bridge" and is therefore dead, thus not availing the possibility of me expanding my property empire.

If this is the case, I am getting really frustrated with the way the game plays out for PS3. It would appear that Alawen, (the character needed for final Marksman Training) has also seen her demise due to circumstances beyond the players control.

If this is the way Bethesda decided on the game play, why not kill all of the characters now, prevent me from wasting my time and let me get on with Assassin's Creed IV!

Come on Bethesda, if anyone from your company is reading this, what are you playing at?

Also - on a general note, how do you post with a URL link in your contribution. You seem to be able to post the picture - I've been struggling with things like that!

I've been back and checked out your map PJ. You can't open it from the other side either!

Isn't it a shame you can't at least pickpocket the key from someone in the castle or even have it given to you by the guy who lets you into the secret passage (Orrin) in the first place - it would have been far better and interesting than back tracking.

Gone on to the next quests now - just finished the "Arrow Of Extrication" - what a pig that was - especially down in the watery catacombs!

Ended up getting caught and having to do community service for the Mages Guild!

I must learn my lesson and do regular saves so I don't have to do these extra boring flora collections!

I have actually bought the PC version but haven't really played with it yet. I am so far down the line with the PS3 version, I really don't want to start again yet - maybe in about a year's time!

Oblivion, although quite dated has proved to be a very good game and addictive! But to be honest, I'm not one for playing through the same game again and again - I've only done that a couple of times, once with Captain America, (funnily enough a quite simple game in comparison) and Batman Arkham City and that was only because I had originally bought the pre-order and a year or so later, the GOTY edition came out which had a hell of a lot more included.

And that brings me to another point. I am getting the urge to want to play Batman - Arkham Origins and Assassin's Creed 4 - they are waiting there in the bookcase for me to pickup having been bought enthusiastically on pre-order! The way things are going and the time it is taking with Oblivion, the GOTY editions will be out for AC3 and those games mentioned long before I finish!

All of these games have been a god send for the last 12 months. I have had a hip replacement and the games have got me through the recovery in a reasonably fit mental state, but when, and if, the Spring ever comes around, I want to be out in the Great Outdoors - do a bit of walking on the hills and mountains with my dog and play some golf other than Tiger Woods PGA Tour!
