godsmack, that's interesting. So basically Bethesda took existing prophecies in the lore and attributed them to the Elder Scrolls when they released Oblivion. I suppose it makes sense. It also doesn't necessarily screw up the lore entirely. Lore-wise, it could be explained that the Ashalnder prophecies and the visions of the wise women were something of folk-lore, while in actuality the source of the prophecy originated in the Scrolls themselves. You said you did more research to find this, can you link us to your sources, if there is a definitive source? Or did you just piece together these facts from various pages and compile this (very strong) theory?

Geez. I have learned more about the lore from this single thread, than I did from years of playing these games.

Certainly if you play through the game there's no doubt you are Nerevarine in my mind but what if the player of the game decides to settle down and be a khagouti farmer or head of the Telvanni?

Will he or she be plagued by dreams from Azura until they give in, or would Fate choose another hero?
