Ahh.. thanks for the heads up.
I guess we'll have to have three separate units, one for each faction. Shame. Destiny chooses whomever she pleases. That's why the heroes have always been unnamed and not described.
I want to bring the single player canon style, the hero is whoever you are no matter what race, to the MMO. The Dragonborn is a Dark Elf and a Nord and an Imperial and a Stormcloak.

I think it would be dumb if guilds are throughout all factions. Think of WoW, would it make sense for horde an alliance to be running dungeons together?

Oh ya it would have to be social. I don't think Zenimax would accept it anyways, the factions are at war. That said, chances of nationwide guilds are slim.

I suggest you edit the opening statement and pick a side. OR set up a guild in all the factions separately.

Can't they just make a separate world for those contradictory guilds and have them socialize there? It would be really odd, seeing as they would want to kill each other, but still.

I don't see it as contradictory. Sure the factions are at war, but just because you choose a particular race doesn't mean you support the war. I never really supported the Stormcloaks but I ended the civil war in Skyrim on their side. I don't know enough about the true agendas of the factions to choose a side, I just want the best for the world and myself. Having members in different factions will strengthen our influence.

I like this guild.
Just locking regions/factions is not good and is not "open world" at all.

Lets hope these factions nonsense dont get that far...

anyway a guild CAN make sub-guilds to fit each faction.

I play games for fun because that's how it should be I think. I like games that have certain milestones to reach or achievements, and sometimes I will try for those but not if they are stupid or annoying. My husband takes gaming very seriously though, and he will try to get every achievement and gets mad at his friends if they die...

For all of you doubters - from http://www.tesoelite.com/2013/06/hay-its-for-my-horse/

Is it going to be possible to have a guild from all three factions?

“Yes, it is going to be possible to have a guild with all three factions. The reason is because your guild affiliation, you can have 5 guilds you can join and the guilds that you join will be based off your account and so any of your characters can be in any of the guilds you choose to be in.”
