Oh, I do so agree! Blade any day of the week, actually, blade everyday of the week! :Twisted Evil:

Well with this weapon [] people could easily kill a noble knight in the Medieval Ages by throwing him off his horse and kill him by hitting him between his brest and head plates.

Let's compare a warhammer (the strongest blunt weapon) to a claymore (the strongest blade weapon):

Daedric Claymore
Weight: 62
Value: 4000
Health: 728
Speed: 0.8
Reach: 1.3
Damage: 26

Daedric Warhammer
Weight: 93
Value: 5000
Health: 784
Speed: 0.7
Reach: 1.3
Damage: 28

As you can see, a warhammer is a bit slower but has higher damage.

Yes, you're right. But I was talking about normal weapons.

These are the stats for the Umbra Sword:
Damage: 28
Speed: 1.0
Weight: 45
Health: 700
Reach: 1.0
Value: 5508
Enchantment: Soul Trap 120sec. (125 uses)

And these for the Sword of the Crusader
Speed: 1.0
Reach: 1.0
Weight: 47
Health: 750
Value: 3912
Damage: 25
Enchantment: Fire Damage 14pts for 2 sec. │ Damage Magicka 40pts

A strong blunt weapon is the Ayleid Battle Axe, used by the Aurorans, also from KotN:

Damage: 25
Enchantment: Shock Damage 7pts
Health: 728

I've stayed with blade more because there seem to be better enchanted blades within the game compared to blunt. I still keep a mace on board because I made blunt my major skill so I can use the mace when I'm ready to level.

My current hand-held weapons =

Umbra (at 0 weight)
Ebony Blade - for the times I'm up against NPC Spellcasters
Daedric Mace - enchanted with Transcendant Sigil stone for Absorb Health

The absorb health is cool and I find myself doing quite well with the mace.

At the mo', I'm equipped with Ebony Blade as the main weapon and a Damage Health Dremora Claymore for dealing with bigger groups. Course, when it comes to stronger enemies and those pesky Imperial Guards, it's Volendrung all the way. 8)
Can't wait to get to 20 for Umbra.

In real life, blunt weapons are far more efficient against armoured targets than blades ...

In the game, I prefer sword and shield style. The huge armor bonus provided by a good shield is better than the small damage bonus of a two-handed weapon so I prefer longswords since maces and longswords do the same damage but the sword is faster.
At the moment I use a perfect madness longsword enchanted with soultrap and shock damage (20 points), it's just great :)
