Hello humans, I've come here to explain my beliefs on the topic of Sheogorath. Now if there are any other similar theories out there, please notify me via comments or slapping my face, so let's get right into the topic.

Now there has been quite a debate among fellow humans here that the Mad God himself may or may not be the Hero Of Kvatch. Let's go back to the beginning of the birth of this weird god. Sheogorath was created when the 15 Daedric Prince's feared that Jygalagg may become too powerful, so they cursed him to become everything he opposes. From logic and order, to madness and anarchy, Sheogorath was born.

Now, standing at the gates to his realm stands a mighty hero, known for being the key person to stop the Oblivion Crisis and among other heroic or evil deeds, such as recovering some yummy potatoes. This person is none other than Zach Bagans (Note that to spice up my post I need a damn name for this woman) After disappearing into the portal, she comes back with an odd outfit, she's wearing a mantle of a god, Sheogorath it is. How did she acquire such an outfit? She was cursed.

You see, when your character finally "defeats" Jygalagg, he/she/mayonaise finds this as a perfect opportunity to transfer the curse to them, thus freeing himself and leaving them to become the mad god. Let's simplify my confusing post.

-Jygalagg is cursed by the other prince's, becomes an opposite being, presenting madness and anarchy.
-Sheogorath grows his world from the ground up, but to eventually be "cleansed" by Jygalagg after his curse gives him some free time each era.
-Both prince's get tired of this not liking how their worlds are constantly destroyed by one another, so Sheogorath searches for another candidate for the curse, or a champion.
-Sheogorath opens his doors in Cyrodiil, on a small island, attracting the hero of kvatch.
-Sheogorath tests his champion through different obstacles, also giving them the task of stopping the Greymarch.
-Sheogorath finally transforms into Jygalagg when his realm is being destroyed.
-The Hero Of Kvatch and Jygalagg battle, only for Jygalagg to be defeated.
-Jygalagg siezes his opportunity and transfers his curse to the champion, finally becoming free and for Sheogorath to build his world without destruction.
-Through the years the champion gradually transforms into Sheogorath, encountering the Dragonborn and such.

So yeah, that's my theory, seems like a waste of time for all of you guys. Yes I support the "CoC Is Sheogorath Theory" and to me, this could be one of the worst ways to explain it, I mean best.

Evidently, ESO made some retcons about this topic and changed the lore around a bit, but I wouldn't be able to tell you about any of that since I don't really care about that game or anything it has to say.

But yes, it's clear that the Champion of Cyrodiil is still the new Sheogorath seen in Skyrim. However, whether or not that means he was always a white male or he/she eventually transformed into the familiar guise of Sheogorath is up to interpretation.

I wonder if the other Daedric Princes are looking for heirs... Can you imagine being trained to be the heir of Mehrunes Dagon?
