Can anyone tell me how a PS3 console stores the saves, auto or otherwise.

I am a little concerned that my hard disk is filling up exponentially!

Is every save stored? Can I for instance access the early saves made at the beginning of the game many months ago or are they written over in a son, father, grandfather way?

I am up to about 130 saves so far and each time it saves it is telling me that the save is around 4Kb+.

If it is storing each save is there anyway to clear early saves to free up disc space?

Every auto save before the last two gets overwritten.Manual saves are separate unless you choose to overwrite them yourself.You'll find the save files under game/save game (data?)/oblivion IIRC.Each save file has a little thumbnail,a date and the size.You can delete any file you wish from there.
