ive just noticed that my mace of molag bal is gone from my inventory..

and i definitely know i havent dropped it, or stored it somewhere. only possibility would be that maybe during a fight (probably on an oblivion plane, since there i fought mostly during before the last save where i suddenly didnt have it in my inventory anymore) someone disarmed me while i was using it, and i didnt notice it since i probably changed to umbra immediately (i mainly use these 2).

now i traced my saves back to one where i still had it in my inventory, and using the Player.MoveTo ID command didnt succeed, since it didnt find it, neither RefID (taken from one of the saves i had it in my inventory), nor its main ID 00027117.

i then did 3 per-console saves (using "save name 1" in order to get a name.ess text file) - one from one of those saves i still had the mace, one from my current save where i dont have it, and one from my current state after having added the item using Player.AddItem 27117 1.

all 3 name(#).ess textfiles DONT have mace of molag bal mentioned at all! although in 2 of them i have it in my inventory..

is there any way to find out where this item is located in my most recent save before i added it using Player.AddItem?

how can this happen? and is it possible that also other items have disappeared that i didnt notice yet?
im using the latest vanilla patch, UOP and Quest Award Leveler (and Qarls texture pack). never had any issues with these plugins so far..

thanks!

I think you got disarmed in a fight and it's either clipped through the ground or is still at the location of the fight. Try using a locate item command, if it's possible. If not, just add it to yourself. As it is probably more trouble then it's worth to search the entire game for it.

thank you - what do you mean by "locate item command"?

i tried Player.MoveTo ID, but didnt succeed.

i cannot find the RefID of it in my current save, and those from earlier saves are different, and none of them works with my most recent save.

i also hope i just got disarmed and didnt notice it. i suppose it was on an oblivion plane whose gate is closed now, hence no way to find it anymore. just be it no bug... :/

I think there is a comamnd to locate dropped items. If there isn't, i think you will just have to add it your inventory or scan the entire game for it. And that could take hours. If not days. You could try manually accessing the plains of oblivion via the console. But if it's in the lava, it may be lost unless godmode is enabled. If it is a bug, i'm afraid it would have been lost for good and adding it to your inventory is the only way to solve it. :(
