So, my friend had asked me whether to buy the Anniversary Edition or Game of The Year Edition of Oblivion.

What is the difference between the two? Anybody know this as I'm having the only standard copy of Oblivion not the GOTY or Anniversary.

Thanks in advance :)

Ou can read about the differences here: http://uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Game_of_the_Year#GOTY

They are the same game, but the Anniversary edition comes with a map and a few other things.

The map and the making of CD are the only difference worth noting other than packaging nowadays, both have SI and KotN. The Skyrim things are pretty much irrelevant now.

Just check that the 5th anniversary does have the map and 3rd disc.

Ah, so 5th Anniversary is fancier than GOTY. All right then, best to buy the 5th Anniversary ,right?

Although it surprised me Bethesda didn't put the official add-on and the Stronghold for the 5th anniversary Oblivion. Thank you for the link, that clears up everything. :D :D
