Closed a couple of Oblivion gates throughout Colovia. am going to close another next time i get on.

I explored the Colovian Highlands a lot today, and while they may not have a great number of Locations, you get some really good views up there.

Maxine, my 45th level character on Max difficulty, dead is dead, traveled to Kvatch, closed the gate and saved Martin. The only gear she carried was the key to the Mage's Guild and her underwear. Booyah!

Wow, that is really ridiculous, and probably very difficult. nicely done!

I finished exploring the Colovian Highlands. I really like that region, it's very pretty even if it is a bit barren.
It's good to have a mountainous region that isn't full of snow. that's what I didn't like about Skyrim's mountains, every single one is the same.

Today, I came back from exploring around Skingrad and finishing two quests, the Skingrad recommendation and ''Unfinished Business''. so I had Erthor following me. as I came to the main gate of Skingrad, I saw Shameer (a Redguard worker in one of the Vineyards, who trains Marksman I believe) sneaking behind an Altmer stable-hand. a few seconds later, one of the guards attacked him, and then Shameer ran off into the hills with the guard after him.

I've never actually seen an NPC pickpocket attempt, so this was funny! I don't actually know what happened to Shameer in the end, but I'm assuming he's dead, as he didn't have the common sense to surrender.

In my Argonian playthrough, my character has to steal food because she was too poor and has to save that money for more useful things like armor and potions.

Installed a new faces mod and spent some time re-tweaking my character's appearance. Then I took care of that oblivion gate I saved next to last time and kept on towards the next shrine. I found a random Inn in the middle of nowhere on the way so I stopped in for a drink and a chat.

I just finished the ''Alteration Master Training'' quest, where you sit at the bottom of Niben Bay for 3 in-game hours with Tooth-in-the-Sea, and the ''Peace of Akatosh'' exploration theme was playing. it was good.

Spent some time troubleshooting the screenshot functionality. Once that was working, I set off, found the shrine I was headed for and took care of a few sidequests in Cheydinhal. Then I made my way to Chorrol for the last shrine, closed another oblivion gate and rescued Dar-Ma.

No no, I did fight her through the wall. She decided to assault me, but she was too chicken to come out of her room at the inn, so she started taunting me, then I went closer to the wall and suddenly I started losing health and then I smashed my mace towards the wall and heard her suffer. Pretty weird, but funny to say the least. Glitchy, glitch-glitch.

I punched Martin today.
A lot, actually. Funny how he falls unconscious from my beatings and then get ups and starts helping me again.

I felt like playing Oblivion today, so I opened it up and continued Telanis' exploration. She finally located Oblivion Gate #25, which means that no more should be opening at this point in the questline.

Also, I randomly made myself a set of Stalhrim weapons/armor. Based off of the glass set.
It's too shiny, but that's about the best I can do.

I'm starting to pick it up again; had only played once since making this thread.

Today Brielle helped expose the corrupt captain of the guard in Cheydinhal, and then went to look for a missing painter (who ended up being trapped inside his own painting).

The first time I tried picking up the suspicious note in the guard captain's room, I thought it was a completely seperate cell, but apparently not - I hadn't gone into sneak mode, and as soon as I grabbed it, a guard tried to arrest me through the wall. I ended up just reloading 'cause I didn't want to bother with fines or resisting or anything. xP

Today Brielle traveled to Bravil for the first time. Along the way, she found a potato thief for a Khajiit woman at an inn, and also came across a unicorn. It let her ride it, so she rode it the rest of the way there. (That was pretty cool! I haven't seen that before.)

Slept 6 times in the Mania bed to level up (6-12), this is what happens when I play too much Skyrim and forget the levelling in Oblivion ;)

Installed SI, so I've been playing through that again. I've been using a 75% Weakness to Fire/Frost spell and then just wailing on anything that comes near me with Dawnfang/Duskfang, respectively. It's a little OP. But that's alright. That's just how we do things around here.

Today I shopped in Bruma after escorting Martin to the Cloud Ruler Temple. Then I went to Chorrol, where I chatted with Dar-Ma and helped the Odiil family out. After that, I decided to take a peek into the Crumbled Mine, as I roleplay as a too curious for her own good character. She barely survived the fight by blocking and spamming the heal minor wounds- spell. After selling the loot, I walked out of Chorrol, ready for more adventures someplace else.

Oh, and I also got fed up with my character's thick nose and console'd a nicer looking one for her. I'll pretend it so that she had caught some infection to her nose in the prison, that made it swell. A few days of fresh mountain air cured it. Or, I might be just so superficial that I can't play a character with whose looks I'm not happy with. It was rather surprising, BTW, how much the nose dominates the facial appearance. With such a simple change my plain Jane character actually became rather good looking.

Technically this was yesterday, but whatever. Spent way too long trying to change the essential status of the Skinned Hound you get from Ushnar upon completing his quest in SI. Had some help from Kestral, but it still took way too long to figure out. I then changed the dog's name from "Ushnar's Skinned Hound" briefly to "Michael Cera" before settling on "Tyler".

Today I wandered from the northern Great Forest to Skingrad. On the way I closed two Oblivion gates, and after selling the loot from those went and closed a third one. Seems like the Oblivion Unleveled mod makes going into the gates worthwhile: at levels 3-7 I found at least four items that wouldn't be found in the vanilla game until at least level 20. The best of those are an ebony bow of burning and an Amulet of Acrobat. Plus there was other high-level loot I got a pile of money off of. Of course, there were also some nasty high-level Daedra to even things out. The only way I survived was to circle them while shooting them repeatedly with my bow.

After that was taken care of, I did Glarthir's quest. I told him nobody watched him and he went nuts as always. Captain Dion dispatched of him quickly, as I ran out onto the street followed by the [&@%!] Wood Elf.

Then I encountered a rather funny glitch in Skingrad's Fighter's Guild. Namely, all male members walked around with nothing on except for their loincloths when they weren't in armour. Hanging around there must have been embarrassing for my female character.

Also, during playing I had to wonder one thing: How is it possible that Oblivion's shadows are immeasurably better than those of Skyrim's, even though the latter is five years newer? Seriously, Skyrim's shadows look like something from 8-bit NES and are hard on the GPU, while Oblivion's are clear and smooth all around. The only thing Bethesda should have fixed about those is how the shadows show through the walls. I just can't fathom how they could screw that up so badly while at the same time improving graphics otherwise so much.

Brielle made it to the Arcane University, got her mage's staff, and was sent to retrieve a book from the Count of Skingrad, only to get attacked by necromancers and learn that she was sent to spy on him.

I witnessed a beggar try to punch out a wraith. And he survived! I gave him a coin afterwards for being awesome. I also completed a bunch of Mages Guild stuff.
