If a spell (lets call it spell A) is scripted to use the effect of a different spell (spell B), and Spell A is flagged to ignore Reflect Spell and Spell Absorption while Spell B isn't, will the effect ignore Reflect Spell and Spell Absorption?

Also does anyone know where I can find an enemy in the game with 100% Reflect Spell or Spell Absorption to use as a test dummy?

Isn't there a shield used by one of the combatants in the arena that absorbs 100%?

No, The Gray Aegis has Resist Magic 100%.

----------

This is thing has me so confused.

I'm testing two spells. Midas Heat Beam and Midas Magma Stream.

Both essentially do the exact same thing except Magma Stream is suppose to ignore Reflect and Absorb.

Spell A (Heat Beam/Magma Stream)
Script Effect: Cast Spell B on Target

Spell B (The actual thing that does damage)
Fire Damage X pts on Target

Now when I cast Heat Beam on a Lich which has 25% Reflect and Absorb, I do so fully expect to be hit by my own spell.

The Lich glows pink which indicates my spell is being reflected back at me, but I receive no damage or any ill effect what so ever.

It could be the spell is being absorbed instead. But no matter how many times I shoot the Lich and it glows pink, I never get hit by my own spell.

Magma Stream also causes the Lich to glow pink even though it's suppose to ignore Reflect and Absorb.

Are non-reflectible spells suppose to trigger the pink glow?

Magma Stream's "Spell B" does not ignore reflect and absorb, so that could be why the Lich still glows.

Perhaps the problem is with Reflect Spell itself?

Reflect basically tells the spell "return-to-sender" right? But in the case of Midas Spells, the sender is a script instead of the player. A script likely doesn't count as a valid target, so the reflected spell fizzles out since it cannot trace itself back to the player.

Maybe that's why I am not being hit by my own spells?

That would mean Midas Spells, even if they are vulnerable to Reflect Spell, cannot be reflected back at you. Interesting. But how do I prove it?
