I have avoided the unofficial patches for a while, but when I saw the Greaves of the Crusader clip into the boots on the female model I found it unacceptable. I installed all three, but the Unofficial Official Mods Patch doesn't seem to do anything. The Unofficial Oblivion Patch and Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch show up in my inventory and I can access their respective menus fine. I downloaded the Oblivion Mod Manager to make sure things were in the right load order. Here's how it looks now in the manager:

Greaves are still clipping though. Have I done something wrong? Could it be as simple as to level up the Greaves at the armor stand and it will switch to the modded version?

I can't really be of much help as I've never played a female character and so have never encountered the clipping bug.

I do have the patches though, but my load order is:

There are plenty of other visual problems in KotN for both character genders. Do you get the one where the Gauntlets have a transparent interior while you wear them?

So, I installed BOSS to get the load order right. It tells me that at least the patch is active, so... I'll just have to wait and see, I guess. *Sigh* How did this get so complicated? It's putting me off getting on with the game.

BOSS showed me that the Knights dlc needs to be cleaned by Tes4Edit. Tried to download Tes4Edit but couldn't because my computer can't read nxm-files, whatever they are.

Conclusion: don't ever try to mod or even patch Oblivion unless you want to spend the rest of your life trying to figure how it works. Way. Too. Hard.

Hopefully I haven't messed it up too bad. I'll let it be and keep playing until it falls apart.
