My major skills have nearly all reached 100.

Only Blade and Acrobatics remain which are 97 and 95 respectively.

Given that you only level up and increase your Attribute levels by increasing your major skill levels, what happens next?

When I reach 100 in Blade and Acrobatics, is that it?

It seems that my level may not increase above 45, maybe 46 at a push.

Do the "minor" skills not contribute to the overall levelling at all?

My Hand to Hand, Blunt and Block along with Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Mysticism and Restoration are gradually creeping up but with the extra training that could be received from the Master Trainers received through levelling would help accellerate things.

Is it posssible to receive this training subsequent to maximum levelling?

Once all Major Skills are 100, you've technically hit the level cap.

You can use an exploit such as spending time in jail to increase the level cap.

Every day you spend in jail lowers one random skill by 1 level. Stay in jail long enough to lower a Major Skill from 100 to 90 and the retrain the skill back to 100 and you can level up again.

The only thing Minor Skills contribute towards are stat increases.

Level two Minor Skills by 10 each, and then a Major by another 10, and you can claim three +5 stat increases.

I'm not quite comprehending your last question. Probably because I'm too drowsy at the time of typing this.

The Oghma Infinium book from finishing all the deadric quests can give you up to three levels after you cap if you have the right major skills.

If you have green boost points from glitching something like the crown of Lindai/Nenelata (possibley the Oghma Infinium too, you cannot train those points above 100 but you can play them up (button tap) to their max and maybe get extra levels. I think I maxed illusion to 113 from one of the crowns. Illusion was a major skill so I got an extra level out of it after it was at 100.

You can only train five points per level. You can have ten 'natural' points in a major skill and have the 'time to sleep' symbol showing and train five points in that skill, then go to sleep and train it five more times in the next level. It doesn't help to get extra levels but it is a way to use five 'lessons' each level.

Your 45-46 is probably the result of overlapping your major skills with race and specialization bonuses.

See my character "Black Tom" on the character post thread for a race plus major skills combo that I took to level 54 without going to jail for points. I have three or four extra points on it towards level 55 so I could go to jail and try for the seven points.
