Forgive me if this has already been discussed. But I’ve seen a lot of speculation and I haven’t seen anyone really discussing this possibility. I mean, the Forsworn literally have dark hearts. They’re already natural antagonists, they deal with Daedric powers, and they’re concentrated in western Skyrim. The symbols on the map clues also look VERY Forsworn to me.

Am I way off base here?

The dark heart of Skyrim sounds like Blackreach to me. It also fits the edgy "dark" theme they're going for.
