so, I play Morrowind on Xbox (Goty version) and I discovered that the Adamantium Ore just refresh every time I leave and re-enter the area. I've already looted more than 20 rocks, mostly from the same ores.

This is completely different from what it's always said everywhere, that the rocks are created when you open the ore and it's better to save before doing so, especially because they don't regenerate. Saving before opening NEVER changed me the result. But leaving the area and coming back, yes. I don't even need to wait, just leave, come back and there is a chance to find a new rock, EVEN if I already took one before from the same ore. They even regenerate.

So I wonder if it's just the Xbox version that is different, or the informations we have about this thing are wrong. Anyway, I'd like your opinions, so I can update the UESP Wiki


PS: why can't I select an avatar? Do I need a certain number of posts?

Yes, I believe you need a certain number of posts, after which a moderator should enable that function for you.

I have the PC version of Morrowind, so I'll check out what you said about mining Adamantium to see if it works the same way on PC.

I wonder if it was a special Xbox-only thing to try to get people to buy an Xbox?

ok, another Xbox player just confirmed what I said, so I've edited the wiki page as well I can't post the link, but there is a post on Reddit where other players answered and tested as well.

I honestly don't know why there is this difference on the Xbox version (which, in general, sucks). But it's surely appreciated.


[edit] I just checked, and actually even in the discussion of the same wiki page there are other users reporting the same thing on Xbox. I don't know why no one modified the page before.

Ooooh, fuzzy memories. Pretty sure I've encountered insta-respawning adamantium, too, but I'm certain I've seen the discussion before. I guess I never went back to test it. You'll find a touch of master race PC snobbery occasionally in the wiki, and I'd wager that a sense of denial has prevented the page from reflecting the noted exception. There's also a rampant fallacy that nothing has been left undiscovered in a fifteen year old game.
