Call it first world problems, but I guess it'd been so long since I played old non-Steam PC games I forgot you needed the CD actively in the tray in order to play.

I installed Morrowind from my Anthology set and while it's nice not having it on steam so that I can use the Construction Set and the like, it's a pain putting in the CD every time. Since even GoG has Morrowind now, I'd imagine that this is less of the game actually needing the CD in order to play and more along the lines of antiquated anti-pirating technology. Is there any way to bypass the needing of the CD or does this enter the territory of shady practices?

Antiquated or not, it's still illegal to do so and against the forum rules to discuss. If you don't want the DRM, you should go buy it on GOG.

Well, here's a solution. Apparently there's a that enables the Construction Set on the Steam version of the game. That was my reason for not using the steam version so I guess I'll migrate over there.
