Mine is (and probably will always be):

"YOU N'WAH!!!!"

I really liked the dunmer voice actors in the game. The others were pretty nice too. I've noticed some of them have been carried over into oblivion. Although too bad they didn't do the same with the dunmer voices.

I was always a fan of the line, "You like to dance close to the fire, don't you?" I'm not sure why. I think the voice acting in Morrowind was, in some ways, better than the later games. The fact that Morrowind was primarily text dialogue made the spoken lines all the more special, and so the lines became iconic. Any Morrowind fan can practically recite every line that is said from the time they awaken on the boat until they step out into Seyda Neen. We know what guards will say, we know what Silt Strider guides will say, and so on.

The Dunmer voices were great, and it is a shame that they did away with the gravelly tone in later entries in the series. I thought it gave that race more character. Though it does make sense in some ways, considering the voices were so throaty due to the influence of the ash of Red Mountain, and we can't reasonably expect that all Dunmer would share that voice. It just would have been nice to see Native Morrowind Dunmer in Cyrodil or Skyrim that had that voice as a nod to continuity.

All points valid Scribbane, especially about the iconic nature of the voice acted lines. My favorite would have to be: "What makes this smell?"

I also particularly liked the khajiit and argonian voice acting. From the way they spoke, I always thought their english would be kind of poor and broken, though I would say they sound more sophisticated in oblivion and skyrim.

Oh, the things I've just heard in the Imperial Chapel in Wolverine Hall...

"Are you here to start trouble or are you just stupid?"

"Go away! I don't want to help you."

*mumbling* "What a winning personality."

I think my favourite has to be:
"I'm a god, how can you kill a god? What a grand and intoxicating innocence. How could you be so naive?"

I remember female nords saying (when your disposition towards them is high enough): "You choose to spend your time with me?You humble me!"
And I've heard this same line being repeated once or twice in oblivion

This post brings back memories, I can still hear them in my head, although it's been a long time since I've played Morrowind. :D My favorite quote is the one in my signature. I'm not sure if its a random thing any Dreamer says, or actually it may even be a Sleeper that says it or both... I remember that I heard it in Vivec, in the home with their little Dagoth Ur shrine. If anyone knows for sure which it comes from or if it's interchangeable I'd appreciate it.

Speaking about dreamers, I remember this one piece of writing I found in one of the rooms of a dunmer stronghold, the name of which I can't recall. Although it was sometime during the main quest I think.
It said: "The sleeper has awakened!"
I thought it had a powerful undertone as it implied someone who was under dagoth ur's curse had finally fought and broken free of it.

On the other hand there was one particular quote which ash zombies spoke:
"What are you? Where is this place? I'm so tired, LET ME SLEEP!"
This I think paradoxes with first quote in that the person who was under the curse has been defeated and is giving in.

I had always interpreted "The sleeper is awake" as referring to the return of Dagoth Ur. That's an interesting twist on the sleeper/dreamer metaphor I hadn't considered.

Despite all the classic villain tropes, I like that there is still a moral ambiguity about the main quest and the true story of the Sixth House. There's an element of bitterness and betrayal that almost makes you wonder if you're playing for the wrong side. I've found myself rationalizing Ur's actions more than once. And the conclusion always feels less triumphant and more bittersweet.

Actually, as you progress in the game, you'll find that the story behind the events of indoril and dagoth ur is ambiguous and the game lets the player decide and assume from their own perspective. As can be seen in-game, everyone has a different story to tell. The temple will glorify the actions of the tribunal gods and say that dagoth ur was responsible for the death of nerevar. On the other hand dagoth ur will explain multiple times throughout the game he was loyal to nerevar till the end and ultimately, it was he who betrayed him.
The only other account can be from a dwemer perspective but yagrum, the last living dwemer, unfortunately has nothing to say on it.

I like the low disposition comments from dunmer like "annoying outlanders!" and "no.... you have no manners!" also "make this quick outlander or go away!" the xenophobic attitude really adds to morrowinds stranger in a strange land vibe.

Other faves are pretty much all of dagoth urs spoken lines, and of course jiubs lines because ive heard them a thousand times yet it still gets me excited for whats to come.

I've never heard Dagoth Ur say this one in-game, but it is in the game files, so:

"Omnipotent. Omniscient. Sovereign. Immutable. How sweet it is to be a god."

"Under moon and star, outlander, WHAT do you WANT?"

And I absolutely prefer ashlander voices to imperial-sounding Dunmer. So glad that they got the Morrowind guy to reprise Jiub in the soul cairn.

Do Argonians also hiss occasionally, or am I remembering something else?

I'm pretty sure they do, I know they especially do when they get hurt.

"No good deed goes unpunished Outlander." When you get that one ring out of the pond for that lady. I'm not sure if it was the lady that asked you to get it as she attacks, or if it was Azura telling you this, which would make it the only time in the game.
