That's interesting, and I can't for the life of me determine what it could be.

I rather doubt this is the reason, but perhaps if you update your game to the latest version, maybe it could yield some result? And, if not, you'd have bug fixes and other things that come with patching the game anyway, so it's not necessarily a bad thing to update it.

May you provide some additional information, please?

Thanks for your reply!

According to Bethesda's support page I'm running the latest official version.

I'd rather not install any unofficial patches because I've already played several in-game days on my laptop and I'd like to continue those saves on my desktop; I'm afraid of breaking my saves.

I did look at the changes made by the Patch Project but I didn't see anything to suggest that it would resolve my blurry textures issue.

What additional information would you like?

Sound is sometimes the problem. Go off-sound, or to simple stereo. Your system should be adequate to run Morrowind.
