History:

EDGE Gaming was founded in 2009 during the NA release of Aion.

The community was founded by Maximus (Archilles then), the reasoning and idea of EDGE was based upon creating a gaming community that could step outside of the box, have a hardcore mentality so that we could support players who have great skill but may not have all day everyday to devote to a game and be something more then just a simple guild in a simple game.

How do we find a way to step outside of the “box”? Easy. We have 3 specific philosophies we play by and our motto. Take it to the EDGE!

Determination – Having the ability to set a formidable goal for ourselves, prepare for it and then try our best to hit it.

Teamwork – We won’t just shove you into a TS/Vent channel and expect you to play the game on your own (unless you want to). We provoke social conversation between each other, strategize and will openly ask each other if help is needed or wanted because being comfortable with each other when playing with a team is what helps us to succeed and prevent negative events from surfacing.

Experience – Though EDGE has been around for 4 years, 75% of our membership has played MMO, FPS, RTS and other game types for over 15-20 years. We have very experienced, professionally minded players who not only help to lead their groups but also mentor and assist new members in either completing content or educating someone on a subject they might not be entirely knowledgeable of.

These 3 philosophies are what have driven EDGE to the point it is now. Alive and kicking… Hard.


Goals

Edge is now looking to expand into TESO and to become one of the top guilds for the Aldmeri Dominion. Having maintained a 20-0 record in WvWvW during our time playing Guild Wars 2 we have the experience to back it up. Our ambitions for PvE are no less, our membership contains various world first, server first, and top end progression level players and we strive to maintain excellence in our play.

We are first and foremost a family of gaming enthusiasts. For many of our members, gaming isn't just a hobby it is a lifestyle and our overall aspirations primarily consist of enjoying our gaming experience and progressing as a team. Our community is run with the belief that all of our members have a voice and that voice itself should be respected.
