Can we have a pc sibling on the same bus?

Anything is possible. Though the sibling would either have to be played by you or someone else, or die and/or leave.

Velvet's character has received the seal of approval, and is sitting on the bus as we speak.

I'm playing a siblingless orphan so I can't be your sibling, as fun as that would be. I'll be cooking up my character sheet in the next few days.

Oh and in case anyone is worried about doubling up on powers and wants to know what I'm doing, basically it's immunity to fire and by extension harmful heat, getting burned, smoke, carbon monoxide, etc.

Does a person's psychic powers occur from birth, or do they become evident spontaneously at anytime, a la X-Men?

Any way you want it, that's the way you need it. (It's different for everyone). (It also depends on whether the power is active or passive. An active power would take a lot longer to learn how to use deliberately.)

This kinda reminds me of Hope Falls.

We do not talk about Dovah's RPing from there unless you want to be narrated for the rest of your lives.

But am I right in assuming that it'll be just as focused on the PCs with the plot occuring in the background until it is ramped into gear?

Oh and I'm gonna to say that I am up for this but as a provisional statement. Just in case Life grabs me, forces me to eat lemons and makes me mad but can't counter it with combustible lemons.

In a few weeks time, I'll make a judgement call about whether I am in properly or not. That and will go back to basics with a simple character. May just do a college student that erm.... yeah, just a college student or something that is fairly easy to er..... i'm not going to say BS my way through but erm.... yeah, BS my way through with the occupation/profession/Other.

A college student would be too old. They're all high schoolers up to the last year.

Do the players all know starting out that Little Hill Academy is a secret school for psychics?

It is possible, just not without extensive autonomous research. It's not a murder academy, some people have actually graduated (or maybe the hints are planted as a failsafe for cases they're not aware of). Either way, what you're describing there fits the bill, so it works.
