Henry raised a brow at Oscar's little quip. "That's just it though. This was either a work of deliberate sabotage, a prank, or a freak computer accident. Truthfully, I think the second of those options is the most likely. It remains to be seen; we're trying to figure it out and understand just what happened, but it is as I said; it's as if there were no traces of you in our systems. Ever. Even physical records have vanished."

He then looked to Keira. "Well, we certainly won't be kicking you all out to the curb. Your tuitions have been paid already, after all. For now, you will be filling out your own schedules and carrying on as normal. The administration wants to sort this out and figure out just why it happened. Until then, we'll be getting your information from your parents or guardians, whatever we can find. Without all these records, entering colleges and post-graduate work environments could be... problematic."

Lastly, he cleared his throat. "I... would assume that none of you would have the desire nor reason to tamper with the school records, correct?"

Delaney sat upright when the student president entered, and guffawed at Gauthier's admission. "As if we never attended at all? Targeted 'thing'? That's one way to put it, I guess." He cocked an eyebrow at Oscar's outburst. "And that's another..."

He froze. "Aw, does this mean we have to do more paperwork?!"

"Oh, it does. Awesome." Max looked thoroughly annoyed, particularly after Henry mentioned the problems that could arise from the records being missing.

Max crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at Henry; his only answer to the question if he'd sabotaged himself. As if any of us would suddenly confess if we HAD.

Looking up as Henry entered the room, Maria smiled. Finally, something's being done.

She listened to what Henry had to say, and sent a quick glare in Oscar's direction as she opened her mouth to answer. "Well, I certainly haven't done anything." The tone of her voice made it clear that she wouldn't put tampering below other individuals in the room.

"...Well that's a bother. How do you expect it to benefit any of us if we out right delete our own records?" Kieran asked, he thought this school was supposed to be at least somewhat good. Guess not if a number of student records can just get removed from the system. "That is a very problematic question to ask Henry." The perfect student was scrutinised. "One that could very well be bounced back on you, after all you are helping in an offical capacity in the administration."

Makoto stayed silent. She'd never thought of doing such a thing. It seems like the weirdness couldn't go away even in real life. She merely kept listening in to what everyone had to say, hoping they wouldn't make this situation drag on longer than it need to be. Precious Sunday time was getting wasted.

Oscar Nigel Tarison - Classroom

"Then investigate it." Oscar Nigel Tarinson told Henry. "And good luck dealing with those [&@%!]." He let out a dry chuckle at the thought of how inconvienced his family would be with a mere phonecall. "Is this all? If so, can we go? I got no sleep last night and am not in the damn mood to deal with [&@%!] like this." He yawned again and was tempted to go back to his nap.

Henry Gauthier heaved a sigh. "My apologies, I merely had to ask. You must realize, this situation is highly unusual. We have no reason to suspect any of the secretaries had any reason to tamper with your records, and no students would have access normally. The physical records are kept under lock and key. We would love to figure out who did this, but they seemed to have covered their tracks very well."

The student council president looked at the door he entered from, and then back at those gathered. "In any case, all I was required to give was an explanation. You can proceed to the front office and schedule your classes now. We will alert the..." he said, counting those present. "...seven of you if anything changes."

Keira's eyebrows remained wrinkled in concern.

Why would it be a prank? Maybe someone was trying a delete a bad rep, and did ours too to hide themselves. Maybe it was just the stupid computer.

She thought to how the problem could be solved. All the work she'd done so far was not going to be lost because of some stupid machine.

When Henry began to end the conversation, Keira stood up. She had more to say.
"Wait. Can you get someone in, like a computer professional? If you delete stuff, it doesn't really get fully deleted, right? There's stuff on the motherboard that you can get back on the system, like code or something? Have you tried that?"
She looked at Henry with a mix of hope and determination.

Makoto stood up as soon as Henry started talking. Finally, she can grab her schedule and go home. Or at least, get the hell out of this room. She made her way over to the door that let them all in, bowing her head a little bit to Henry.

"...Thanks." She then left, making her way to the front desk. No days off, but it didn't seem to be too major an inconvenience for the time being.

With an eyeroll, Max hopped out of his seat, and onto his feet. Walking towards the office, his shoes loudly clicked and clacked on the floor as though they were tap shoes. (They were.)

Oscar Nigel Tarinson

Oscar Nigel Tarinson took his schedule and departed the room. He knew he should get some sleep but it wasn't the first time had had gone without a night's sleep and it was a Sunday so he elected to grab a good ol' cuppa coffee before going for a swim.

Maria placed her book in her backpack as she stood up to leave. Before exiting the room, she paused to hear the answer to Keira's question. Not that it really matters. I'm sure the school will be able to work everything out... I guess it's a bit more pressure on the seniors, though, what with applications this year.

Kieran gave a loud sigh, standing up and walking to the office. "This sucks." He muttered, pulling his phone out to see just how much of his sunday he wasted.

Waiting Room

Henry frowned at Keira. "That's just it. We have IT personnel, Miss Swanson. All the records, the backups, the restorations, all gone." he explained. It was clear in his voice that he was thoroughly confounded.

Front Office

The secretaries at the front office had a few empty schedule forms laid out for the seven students gathered. "We're sorry for the inconvenience." said one of them, a young blonde woman in her early 20s. "Please fill out one of these forms and we'll get everything settled."

The forms had space for a name, seven class slots (four of them pre-filled with the prerequisite science, math, literature, and social courses), and a signature.

Keira - Waiting Room

"Oh." Keira looked even more puzzled. "That's really weird."

She shrugged, accepting that the situation was what it was. Hopefully it would all work itself out.
"Oh well. At least it wasn't the whole school that got affected."

She gave Henry a questionable look; curiously, not suspiciously.
"How did you know I was Swanson?"

Makoto just got it over with. For the three slots that were she could actually decide what to take, she took Computing, Geography and Art. The rest was obviously left as is. She hastily wrote her name, and then her signature, handing it back to the lady behind the front desk.

"This is fine, right?..." Something felt funny about having to right a signature, but she supposed it made sense. If she could help it, she wasn't going to zone out to think about it in front of everyone.

James, ever persistent, had been about to resume the somewhat unbalanced conversation when Henry entered the room. He was surprised by his revelation, but accepted Henry's explanation without objection. Still, it seemed like a very half-hearted prank to erase the records of seven random, unrelated students. He certainly could have thought of a better practical joke.

When they all filed into the front office, James confidently seized one of the unfilled forms. He quickly filled out the form with large, loopy handwriting, but he froze when he came to the empty class slots. Biting his lip, he considered his options. Last night, he'd finally managed to come to a decision, but his choices looked less appealing, especially after a night of no sleep.

In the end, he just chose whatever seemed interesting or relatively enjoyable, not devoting himself to any particular theme. He would hand the completed form to whichever secretary was free.

Oscar Nigel Tarinson - Schedule

Oscar Nigel Tarinson studied the options that laid before him and thought about what would benefit him the most. He wasn't a smartarse but he wasn't dumb either. He was more or less average and free from the family legacy. He had no pressure. Nothing to look up to as his standard. Nothing to fail at. He was content to live his life as he saw fit and had no real goal in life apart from constantly being a walking insult to his family's name.

He picked Gym, Engineering and Art. "Should serve a purpose." He muttered as he wrote his choices in a very neat, refined manner before scribbling it out and purposefully doing what he viewed as godawful handwriting. It was rough, scruffy and the letters were mostly smashed together. He had been forced to take pensmenship lessons during his youth prior to being sent away and every time he used it out of instinct, he always countered it. He hated seeing reminders of his family and always refused to talk about them whenever he could. He handed it back to the secretary and waited to see if it was accepted or not. His signature was annoyingly neat and refined. If it weren't for the fact that that was his only one, he would have just made a very ugly one.

Kieran sighed softly. "So tap dancing shoes?" He asked Max, taking his schedule, writing upon it in his practised writing, carefully ensuring each letter was eligible. Physics & Computing. That was what he took before signing off and handing it to the secretaries. "Rather odd choice for a sunday don't you think?"

Maria made her way to the office, happy to finally be done with waiting. She took one of the slips of paper and quickly wrote out her choices - Introduction to Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology, Chemistry, and Literature Studies - she'd been thinking on this for a while now. She signed her name and handed it in to a secretary as she walked to the door.

Dance. Gym. Aaaaand... Closing his eyes, Max waved his finger around the list of available classes, and plopped it down at random. Anthro. Well, then. Max signed off on his classes, and handed in the form. Anthro/Socio/Psych, Dance, and Gym would be his electives this year.

"Why the shoes? Conversation starter." Max replied, wearing a mischievous smirk. "Still works, too. ...Got any plans for the rest of the day?"

"Maybe go swimming." Kieran stated. "Keep practising and stuff. Or take a nap, catch up on the sleep I lost last night." He shrugged, grinning to himself. "What about you?"

Front Office

The secretary smiled as she received the sign-ups from the students. "Yes, thank you." she told Makoto.

James signed up for Computing and Intro to Anthro/Socio/Psych.

Waiting Room

Henry blinked. "Oh. Well, it was your submitted forms this morning that caused all the confusion when we couldn't match it to your records. Included photo ID as well, remember? I remembered the name and the face."

"Always a fine plan. Who needs to work when you can sleep?" Kieran asked. Placing his hands in his pocket. Glancing over at Henry at his words. "Say what do you think of Mister Perfect Student over there?" He asked his voice dropping to a low whisper in the tap dancers' ear.
