Keira similarly looked over at Max. She let out a short, nasal exhalation in expression of her amusement over his posture on the chairs.

"Oh, social work? Cool. Working to help people is so rewarding, don't you think?" She replied as she refocused on Maria.

"And I see you're a reader." Her eyes beckoned to the girl's book.
"Whatcha reading? Anything good?"

"Oh, I wouldn't go so far as to call it good." She smiled as she looked down at the pages. "Just another cheap romance - kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. But, you know, it's entertaining enough."

Kieran blinked, looking at Max, a small smile splitting across his lips out of amusement of the cat like sprawl. "Not much, had a weird dream last night. Trying to see if it means anything, it was that weird. Sup with you geek?" He replied, stretching with his legs, putting his phone away for now.

"Just reading it for the sexy stuff, huh?" Keira said to Maria with a sly smile.

Maria rolled her eyes, but the corners of her mouth turned up in a smile. "Do you do any sort of reading?"

Exchanging the smile, Max stuck his tongue out at Kieran. "A dream, huh? Probably means you're stressing over school. Pretty sure I had one of those last night, too."

His smile quickly turned into an exaggerated pout. "I just want to get the hell outta' here, do something. Think I'd rather be writing an exam than just sitting here, waiting for my timetable."

"No, not really. I always mean to get into reading more, but, I end up reading the first few chapters and then I get bored. I get bored kinda easily."
Keira began rummaging in her bag.
"You want a mint? They're sugar free."

James Cothran was tapping his hand impatiently upon his knee, though not particularly thrilled to be dealt his curricular fate, sitting here was a complete waste of time. He could be out doing... something, at least, before school officially started. He hadn't given much thought to last night beyond the symptoms of his lack of sleep. He'd paid no mind to the strange dream and, in fact, he'd almost forgotten about it, except for the nose on that weird little man which kept popping up in his mind's eye.

Deciding that there was no point in trying to snooze, James turned is attention to the other students in the room, his eyes eventually falling upon the odd Japanese girl. He shifted a bit closer and leaned over to nudge Mokoto, "You feelin' all right?"

"Sure, I'll have one. Thanks."

Keira handed Maria a mint. It was a creamy colour, wrapped in a clear plastic wrapper with a green stripe across it.

She felt another yawn coming on and tried to stifle it, but it refused to be denied.
"Yyyyuuuuurrr! Oh, excuse me! I got the Sunday sleepies!"
Popping a mint into her mouth, Keira gave her phone a quick look without taking it out of her bag.

Keira saw from her peek that she had a notification on her instant messaging app.

Spotting a notification, Keira lifted her phone and tapped to read the message.

Oscar Nigel Tarinson

Oscar observed and heard the various conversations from the corner he stood in and made a decision regarding everyone else. He decided that none were bullies based on what little evidence he gathered so far and believed there would be no harm in catching a bit of shut eye. So, he leaned backwards against the wall and closed his eyes in order to have a nice power nap.

Though she was zoning out, she widened her eye as her head shot up. Then she realised she probably looked a bit crazy, trying to calm down. She'd completely missed what he had said... She tried to make her posture less awkward, looking over to him. "Ahm. . . Yes?"

Hopefully it was the right answer. Not sure where to look, she ended up looking back down at the floor again. Gee, these people sure were noisy. If it weren't for that dream, she would be wishing she was back in bed right about now.

"Thanks," said Maria, unwrapping the mint and placing it in her mouth. Seeing Keira reach for her phone, she turned her gaze once again to the pages of her book.

"Well you look like you're trying to stare a hole in the floor, so I thought I'd ask." James laughed, seemingly oblivious to her reluctance. He held out his hand, "I'm James. Junior year."

"I know what you mean." Kieran stated, yawning slightly as he did so. "I guess they lost our timetables or something." A joking grin crosses his face. "If they don't find it guess we got free time all the time."

Makoto huffed a little, still looking at the floor. She wasn't blocking him out. Mostly because she couldn't get away with it, and she supposed she'd feel bad. "Makoto. Senior." First name basis was weird... She hadn't brought her head up, so she never noticed him extend her hand. She kept staring at the floor.

"Oh, and what a shame that'd be." Max replied with a smirk. "What would you be doing with all that spare time, hm?"

Oscar Nigel Tarinson was woken from his slumber by the voice that addressed the room and he yawned as he opened his eyes. "Then someone [&@%!] up their [&@%!] job." He commented before yawning again. He did not like the sound of this and could not help but partially wonder if it was related to the weird dream that he had last night.

Makoto looked over to the boy who had walked in, sighing at the news he brought. Their records were gone? She had actually been signed up to this school, right? Nothing seemed to go right. She then looked over at Oscar, who was being. . . Let's say loud.

She would say something, but she didn't want to deal with it. She listened to the student council president, pondering what could have happened... Maybe she'd get a few days off if they didn't sort this out. But she doubted she'd get that lucky.
