"It's a lot better then that piece of [&@%!] rock we had and i did not fight the reapers just to watch our race get destroyed by a few short sighted pyjak loving [&@%!]." Churkan told the Krogan as he leaned against the wall of the shuttle.

"Wasn't exactly talking about the planet." Finally, he turned to face the other krogan. "You're pro-Urdnot, then? Or at least not pro-idiot?"

"Damn right i'm Pro-Urdnot." Churkan told the Krogan with pride in his voice. "Urdnot Wrex knew our fate if we continued as we were and dragged us into glory. Those damn rebels would have Wrex destroy all of our progress and cast us into the dark age instead of a proud warrior race that proved to the Galaxy that, we are the best there is and we will defend the galaxy against anyone!"

Citadel - Zakera-bound Shuttle

The shuttle cruised about while the increasingly invasive static continued to blare over the speakers.

Cehan's Omni-Tool

"Well, it's a good thing that I don't care about what you're tired of. The buyer's probably going to have some bodyguards, yeah. But we're not sure on the details. With luck they shouldn't be a problem. replied Cehan's contact.

Shuttle

Unbeknownst to the passengers, the static would prove to be the least of their problems. A sudden explosion rocked the vehicle, causing the on-board lights to flicker. The shuttle, struggling without a larger section of its' hull, slowly began to drift in the opposite direction of Zakera Ward, down towards Tayseri Ward instead.

The deafening static slowly faded into a softer sort of static, indicating that someone was on the line. The passengers expected a message of reassurance or safety procedures, but what they heard was far less re-assuring.

"Aria sends her regards." spoke the loudspeaker in a distorted voice as another explosion rocked the shuttle. The descent quickened, and a fire was now raging near the front of the shuttle. The pilot was assuredly dead if he hadn't escaped. The inner cabin of the shuttle was designed to lessen the subtle turns the shuttle was used to, and thus didn't do much to dampen the bumpy descent the passengers were now in for as the vessel plummeted towards Tayseri Ward.

Drau Broktar quickly put up his barrier. "Buckle up and keep your damn heads down!" He charged down the cockpit door. Fire or no, he would take up the controls and try to set the shuttle down gentler.

As an afterthought, he yelled another advisory. "Hey C-Sec", presumably directed at Hard, "if we list too hard in one direction, charge into the bulkhead on the opposite side!"

"And she is now on my [&@%!] list." Churkan commented as the shuttle began to plummet towards Tayseri Ward. "Zakera ward shuttle attacked, going down, medics and a fire crew." He radioed to C-sec and believed that he could not do more then that until they finished crashing. He was a damn warrior not a pilot and the last time he was involved with a shuttle, it somehow ended up on fire. with a lot of dead criminals and a Churkan being thrown through a window. He got his Claymore ready and was eager to deal with the scum that attack the citizens of the Citadel.

Calor shuddered following the explosion which shook the shuttle. He was glad he didn't go to work for Aria. "Panicked: Oh no." said Calor. He looked at the Krogan C-Sec officer pull out a shotgun. "With bitter sarcasm: Oh great, you can shoot the fire out. We're all saved."

"Unless you have cryo ammo, yeah, that's a [&@%!] idea." Broktar agreed from the cockpit.

"It's not the fire i'm going to shoot." Churkan told both the Elcor and Krogan.

Citadel - Crashing Shuttle



Broktar gained +3 Paragon.
Hard gained +3 Renegade.

Hard's co-workers at C-Sec quickly responded. "Roger that! Brace for impact, try to save anyone you can, we-"

The sight of a Krogan pulling out a heavy-duty shotgun, C-Sec or no, escalated the panic of the passengers of the falling shuttle. Soon people were trying to hit the deck and cover their heads all while trying their best to hold on to something.

The cockpit was in understandably bad shape, though the truly alarming thing is that there wasn't a body where the shuttle pilot would have been. The shuttle must have been hacked remotely, and rigged with explosives before taking off.

In any case, the fire was intense and a majority of the controls were fried. Those who could see out the window saw that the shuttle was a few seconds from crashing into the newly-rebuilt Dilinaga concert hall.

"Get close!" shouted an unknown voice from inside the passenger cabin; those in there could see a white-skinned Turian stand up and concentrate his biotics into a biotic field, in an attempt to shield those inside.

And then the shuttle crashed, and all was still.

Some time later, an amount of time unclear to those who survived the crash, the survivors found themselves waking up in the charred remains of the concert hall, with a few small fires still burning on the trashed remains of the shuttle. Besides the two krogan, the elcor, and the salarian passengers, it was unclear how many survived.

"Captain! Over here, we've got some live ones." shouted a voice. C-Sec's Tayseri Ward division had found the wreckage, and had just found those that were alive.

Broktar picked himself up--or crawled, depending on the severity of his injuries. Activating his omni-tool, he scanned the life signs of those around him. Anybody with life-threatening injuries, he would apply medi-gel to, prioritizing those in the worst shape, regardless of their odds of survival. Unless they were dead, of course. Meanwhile, he ignored the shards of windscreen embedded in his face.

"Good, this makes it easier." Churkan commented after the crowd tried to hit the deck or find something to hold onto. He hated fighting in crowds of citizens and by having them out of his line of fire, he could get away with not holding back. However, he did not get the chance to tear the [&@%!] that attacked the shuttle a new one due to it crashing into the hall.

He growled upon waking up and was ready to kill Aria's thugs but C-sec Tayseri Ward was here. The thugs were not. "Crashed into hall, Tayseri Ward, i think. Shuttle's [&@%!]. Not sure how many are left alive. Aria is responsible for it. Searching for survivors, won't return until resolved." He radioed to his colleagues whilst searching for survivors. If he found any, he would treat them with medi-gel. If he ran out, he would treat them as best he could.

Cehan sat quietly near the wreckage, shaking with fear and with green blood dripping off his face. He would have called out to C-Sec, were it not for his dress. Now was not a good time to wear the uniform of an Eclipse Mercenary. Instead, he attempted to switch on his omni-tool, intending to comm Veollma.

The injuries of those encapsulated in the Turian's biotic field weren't severe; a few cuts and bruises, maybe. As for Broktar, he had been flung through a windshield and some intense fire during the crash, and had a few gashes, including a particularly nasty one on his left arm. His regeneration was already at work at taking care of it, but some medi-gel would speed the process and allow him to use his left arm again.

Cehan's Omni-Tool

"Hey, what's the deal?" Veollma asked. She didn't know about the crash, but she was concerned that Cehan was contacting her audibly.

Dilinaga Concert Hall

"We've got five survivors here. Two Krogan; Hard's okay; an elcor, a Turian, and... A Salarian in Eclipse gear! Hands up!" shouted the C-Sec officer that approached the crash. She was an asari, seemingly young by her standards, and a bit of an oddity considering most Asari C-Sec officers were in the matron stage, not the maiden stage. She held a pistol at Cehan, glaring.

The white-skinned Turian who had held up the biotic field struggled to his feet. He had gotten a bit charred in the crash. "Ugh..." he mumbled, before getting a feeling for what was going on. "Stand down, officer."

The young Asari looked at the Turian. "And who are you to tell me to stand down, civilian? This salarian's probably the one who caused the shuttle to crash!"

"Tharen Vitellius, Special Tactics and Reconnaissance." the Turian replied sternly, stepping forward. "And I'll ask you again, officer, stand down."

The asari grumbled. She wasn't about to cross a spectre.

Another Turian walked up behind the asari; he appeared to be the C-Sec captain she had addressed earlier. Hard would recognize him as Captain Ignis Aleril, one of the Captains of the Tayseri division of C-Sec. "What happened here, citizens?" he asked, trying to keep calm.

"He did not cause the crash. It was that [&@%!], Aria." Churkan told the Asari whilst putting himself in between the Salarian and the Asari before the spectre talked her out of it. He recognised the C-sec turian as Captain Ignis Aleril of Tayseri Ward division. "Aria T'loak ordered the hit on the shuttle and there were no signs of her or her cowards prior to departure. She either hit us with a missile or had the explosives planted on board and detonated remotely. " He informed the captain. "As for the Salarian, i vouch for him." Coming from Churkan, the Krogan that went on a Salarian are [&@%!] rant at C-sec's christmas party last year, it may have meant a lot.

Calor looked at the Salarian who worked for Eclipse. "Accusatory: The Salarian was using his omni-tool just before the explosion. Aria T'Loak is in charge of Eclipse. He may have been responsible for what happened. Perhaps payment is being transferred to his family." said Calor.

Cehan kept his hands up. Regardless of his apparent protection by the Krogan and Turian, he wasn't going to put himself at risk. He hoped that Veollma would be able to overhear the exchange, and perhaps pull some strings to get him out of C-Sec custody, if it came to that.

"W-why would I blow up the shuttle while I was on it?" the Salarian stuttered, "A-a-Aria doesn't control the Eclipse, she just employs large groups of operatives. The Eclipse are their own ind-independent mercenary company."

Broktar seemed to ignore both the C-Sec and his injuries. Despite their stating that only the five of them survived, he staggered about, checking the bodies for any signs of life. He would apply medi-gel to any civilians who'd made it.

He did add his own opinion, though. "He's not beyond suspicion. But then, none of us are. Not the Salarian, not the Elcor, not your man, not me." He momentarily stopped his efforts to turn to look at the Turian. "Not even a Spectre, despite his actions." His eyes shone with years of experiences, before he turned back to the fallen.

"And have no loyalty but to themselves." Churkan told the Elcor. "If he was paid to blow it up, he [&@%!] up big time and the Salarians prefer to use cowardly tatics when dealing with their foes. All he would have needed to do was detonate it remotely whilst remaining hidden."

Citadel - Tayseri Ward - Dilinaga Concert Hall

Broktar had a hard time finding anyone still alive. Most of the passengers had died in the crash, despite the Spectre's best efforts. The fact that Broktar himself was alive was nothing short of a miracle, a miracle that had a bit of help from his krogan physiology.

Upon coming across the form of a drell, he found signs of life. The drell was bleeding profusely, and was taking shallow, pained breaths. It was hard to hear among the cackling of the nearby fires, but Broktar was close enough to make it out.

Ignis, having received the news, sighed and pulled up his omni-tool. "Commander Bailey, it's Ignis. We've had another attack. ...yes, this one had connections to Aria as well. We had survivors this time. One of them an Eclipse merc. Not sure what to make of him." he spoke to his commanding officer. He kept a sharp eye trained on Cehan.

The spectre, now known to those around as Tharen, joined Broktar in scanning the bodies of the passengers while continuing to speak. "Then it's true. Aria has it out for the Citadel. Terrorist attacks... unbelievable." he said, sighing as he passed over the corpse of the impatient turian from earlier. "Captain, the merc is right. Aria has dominion over Eclipse, but they're still an independent company. I'm not saying he's beneath suspicion, but I think we should consider a remote detonator. A detonator in possession of someone still on the Citadel, I'd wager."

Broktar knelt down, and immediately used his medical skills, applying medi-gel inside the wound, trying to work it far inside the Drell to stop internal bleeding. He clamped down his hands on the wound and looked over his shoulder. "Another survivor. Drell, bad shape, probably damaged lungs," he announced. He looked down at the poor soul. "Don't even think about dying, Drell. You're still Whole. You're not about to meet Kalahira. You're not about to cross that ocean. Don't speak. Look at me, and keep breathing."

"Two attacks in one day." Churkan stated as remained in front of the Salarian. "If it was me, i would have done it remotely and used a rival as the scapegoat." The C-sec told the Spectre. "But when we find the sodding coward that carried out the attack, I will make him regret the day he blew up on Hard's watch." He told pretty much anyone that cared to listen. He was known for using violence and it was no mere secret that he loathed the Salarians. "Ignis, want me to take this to lock up for questioning?" He asked the captain. He suspected the Salarian was here on illegal business and did not get along with eclipse due to a slight misunderstanding involving a freighter, his shotgun and a lot of dead mercs.

"Curiously: Why would Aria attack the Citadel in the first place? What does she have to gain?" said Calor.

Citadel - Tayseri Ward - Dilinaga Concert Hall

Broktar gained +2 Paragon.

Broktar was able to save the drell. He coughed a few times and finally muttered a "thank you" as she struggled to sit up. His life was saved but he would still need some focused medical attention if he were to survive in the long term.

Ignis nodded at Hard. "Yes, I would-"

"I'll take him with me." Tharen interrupted. Ignis narrowed his eyes, but nodded, deferring to Spectre authority.

The turian Spectre looked to the others present. "Aria T'loak's a showboat. She may be trying to push into the fringes of Council Space for holdings here since we're recovering after the Reapers. A terrorist attack on the citadel is her way of making it a show, I'd assume." he began, looking away from the crash site and back to the survivors. "If I may be so bold, I'd like to speak to the..." he began, counting those present. "To the five of you. Privately, somewhere away from the remnants of a burning shuttle.
