Indeed, it seems that everyone has their own way of dealing with their abilities. I do hope you will end up enjoying yours and can master them as it must be rather annoying to have everyone's voices at once. Sadly, i can't teach you due to the difference but maybe, i could... no, that wouldn't work. Ah, sorry. But would you perfer to have a hug or be carried into the crate to avoid the height issue if it affects you?

Sherwood noticed that Dick seemed to be silently staring at Amanda, but when she spoke now and then, he realised that Dick must be thinking to her.
That looks weird. I wonder what he's thinking about? Better be careful what I think about; don't want her knowing all my personal thoughts. Crap, can she hear this? Probably not, as looks like Dick's thinking right now.

Amanda missed some of what Dick was thinking at the beginning because Sherwood's thoughts were being spoken to her at the same time. Her eyes grew a bit wide as Dick asked about hugging or carrying her. "Um..." she stammered, "I think I'll be ok. You don't have to do anything." She involuntarily took a small side step away from Dick as she spoke.

The girl offered her arms up to Alex. Like ripping off a bandaid.. that turns into a taser... She thought to herself Never mind the pretty bad pain, just stay strong and let them get their damn tasers Holly.

Amanda quickly put a hand on Alex's arm as she heard the girl's thoughts. "I don't need one," she said briskly. "Holly says it hurts."

"I apologise for causing you harm as that was not my intention." Dick told the girl as he walked towards her. "May i ask if you were told to not tell us? If not, i do apologise for asking."

Alex stopped dead.
"Can't you let us go without weapons? I've got guns and we have a few tasers," Alex suggested, "Let's stop the pain Holly and nobody needs to know you didn't."
Believe it or not, I don't like hurting innocents.
This was to himself but also for Amanda.

Viktor rolled his eyes. It looked like they wouldn't be getting more tasers afterall. Even if he tried to get one everyone else would just protest and stop him. They better not complain when I use a real gun. You'd think KIRIN could afford real tasers, they have a flying sky fortress.

“Yeah, we'll be fine without a load of tasers. We can just get going without them, don't worry.” Sherwood stated to Holly, without moving from his position.
I get the impression KIRIN doesn't care much for their employees, unless it's in their best interest. Cheapskates too.

Holly shook her head. "No matter what the pain will still be there.. just.. rip it. Now." She stated, her arms still up. "I wasn't told to not tell anyone, I chosen not to. So take your damn tasers."

That was a bit rude. I wonder if she'll get in trouble if they find out that no one took tasers. Sherwood really didn't want to rip the woman's arm. He didn't see why some other employee couldn't have pulled out several tasers earlier on and then just given them out before they got to the dropbox.
He let out a long sigh. "If we can't go til we've taken weapons then...if we must." He didn't want to move from his spot, so hoped that Holly would come over to him at some point.

Viktor put his hand on Sherwood's shoulder for a second as a reassuring gesture. "I'll do it." said Viktor. Viktor went over to rip two tasers off Holly. The first he'd toss to Sherwood, the second he'd keep for himself.

Tasers were ripped off and a beep came from Holly's tablet, a glance at it and then the sleeves were shaken to fall down her arms. "Looks like your ship is ready. Please follow me." Then she turned, pressing buttons on the tablets rapidly. "Do any of you have training in piloting an aircraft?" A small raise of the hands from Wallflower. "Good, you'd only really need to drive it in emergency procedures, or if a EMP blasts out the AI."

Then they were shown their ship, a rather sleek looking black thing, not to uncommon to the aircraft of now only more bulbous and with four wings with vertical rotors. "It's fully stocked and has compartments for cookery, sleeping and well anything your home can do, it can do. Complete with internet connections, and best of all, all green, natural energy." Holly smiled at them. "It's called the Burnt due to it's color, any questions?"

"May i ask what is an internet and compartment? I do apologise for asking what must be very mudane questions but i have a rather limited knowledge of human society." Dick inquired as he looked at the thing. I do hope i won't be forced to sit in a small sitting thing and may just sleep on the ceiling.

I doubt it can do 'everything' my home can do. "Does it have a laboratory?" Viktor asked bluntly.

"Yes." Was the short response to Viktor. "And there's a dictionary on board so look them up with that." Holly stated simply, the door to the plane opened. "The director and us at KIRIN wish you the best."

"What is a dictionary?" Dick inquired. If it's a book, i may have to tell everyone that this reading thing i've heard about is something i can't do. Hang on, she can hear my thoughts. Oh. Er.. hello, mind reading human. I was thinking of something to amuse others off and i am able to do the reading thing. Many readings. Such readings as that book and this book. So many ti... wait, i told the doktor that i couldn't make out the things on the bad... oh sewerfushers. He thought to himself.

"Thanks, Viktor." Sherwood said gratefully when the doctor threw him one of the tasers he'd pulled from Holly. He put it in the pocket of his jacket, although it ruined the smooth lines of his outfit.

"Thanks, Holly." He repeated, as he stepped onto the plane, relieved to be able to get on board. "How can we communicate with KIRIN once we're away? Comms on the plane?"

Even though it was now over, Maddie couldn't help but shudder when she looked at the taser in her hand. She quickly stuffed it in the pocket of her hoodie.

"It's a book that tells you what all kinds of words mean," Maddie told Dick. She thought about trying to make a joke making light of Dick needing a dic-tionary, but couldn't think of a good one. Besides, snarky one-liners were never her thing.

"And, yeah, thank you so much, Holly," she said with a grateful and half-remorseful grin before getting onto the plane after Sherwood.

The interior of Burnt was as pleasing and as comfortable as the study, more of a flying home than a vehicle. Seats circled around a table right behind what looked like the door to the cockpit. Further towards the engines was what looked like a fully stocked kitchen, blenders, ovens, all the utensils. There was even more but their attention was then taken up by the floating head coming out of the table, the corners glowing a digital white.

It was head and shoulders, a generic face, neither masculine or feminine with hair that crept close to it's chin. "Greetings Agents.. I am your AI. I am Burnt."

Maddie was a little taken aback by the sudden appearance of the hologram. She quickly recovered enough to return the greeting, at least: "Uh, hi... Burnt. Nice to meet you. I'm Maddie, or, uh... 'Mercury'." She offered a smile, a halfhearted one but the best effort she had.

Well, that's... pretty cool, I guess, she thought to herself. I just hope this thing doesn't ever go all HAL 9000 on us.

Sherwood's face lit up as he looked around the plane's interior. This is aaawesome! He opened a few cupboards that he came across to see what was inside, and basically had a good old nosey at everything.

He looked round when he heard the A.I.'s voice. "Oh!" He watched the floating head in surprise and smiled when it called them 'agents'. Agents. Cool.
"Hi, Burnt. Are you here to help us out?" Sherwood asked after Maddie greeted it.

"But why call it a dictionary?" Dick inquired as he walked into the thing and was rather indifferent to it. He showed no signs of being impressed or being disappointed but it could have just been his nature to not be impressed by certain things. He proceeded to keep his eyes on the ceiling after the others had entered it to determine if it would be comfortable to sleep on or not along with sniffing the air and making mental notes of escape routes, potential ambush spots and weak points.

Another text had reached everyone's phone, at least those on Burnt.

Plug me into the system, I'm much better than an AI.

"Yes Agents. I am the AI system that pilots and controls the ship electronically, you will need only to pilot if we are under attack by EMPs or facing against a Spigot with the power to shut me off." The cupboards that Sherwood opened were stacked with bowls, plates, cutlery and even foodstuffs, like cereals, tinned tomatos, hotdogs.

Sherwood raised his eyebrows. I wonder if that means we're going to get some simulation of someone firing EMPs at us?
He felt his phone buzz in his pocket and took it out to look, hoping it wasn't another weird video message. He read the first message from some 'Hack' and then read the second.
"We're supposed to plug our phones into the system." Sherwood said to the AI, turning his phone round briefly to show it to the head. "Where should it go?"
He looked around in his vicinity for some kind of port to plug it into.
