Amanda smiled and nodded when she heard The Voice this time.

"But I'm not reading them, just hearing them," she said. "And I can't tell who is thinking the thoughts. The Voice sounds the same no matter what."

"Yeah and I used to have problems making stuff blow up," Alex half laughed, "Just comes with practice."
You'll get it eventually.

Amanda giggled as well, starting to loosen up. "I hope so," she said.

Sherwood smiled at Amanda's discovery. "Great! See, that's a great power! You can tell us what the 'baddies' are thinking and reveal their secret plans!"

"Happy to help," Alex said with a smile.
There's nothing wrong with you, you're not crazy and you're not a freak, you're special.

"As long as I can stay out of danger, I guess I could do that," Amanda replied to Sherwood.

She got gooseflesh as The Voice - still sounding as creepy as ever - told her that she wasn't crazy, that she was special. She smiled at Sherwood, then Alex, not knowing who had thought that. She then looked down at the floor and said, "Thank you."

Alex returned the smile.
"No need to thank me, nobody should feel like they're crazy when what they have is a gift."

Amanda smiled at Alex again. Then a thought occurred to her.

She sidestepped closer to Alex and whispered, "Someone was thinking about my breasts earlier, that they weren't too small." She looked around. "I guess people look at me all the time, but to hear it...it's just kind of creepy."

"Ah, that was me," Alex admitted in a whisper, "When you said someone accused of them being too small, it just kinda popped into my mind- sorry for making you uncomfortable."
C'mon Martins, keep your mind clean.

Jess emitted a loud sigh. "And by having telepathy you could be in possessions of secrets or come into possession of secrets of a severely confidential manner.. and as such I must stress staying with us will be your best shot at surviving through out this." She stated simply. "Not that you have a choice since under statues allowed to KIRIN allow us to conscript who we wish if we deem it necessary. And by taking your badges you accept the responsibility."

"I have a question." Sherwood said to Jess.
"This anomaly that we all possess. What does it mean? How do you know that it is significant enough to recruit us all?"

"What it means, I don't know. We only found out during Wallflower's physical checkups that there even was this anomaly, then we figured out means to detect it from there." Jess stated. "And my Spig allows me to be one of the fastest and smartest thinking beings alive. And even for me it's a gut feeling. Do I know for definite? No, not by far, but my gut hasn't let me down yet." She tucked her hair behind her ear. "That answer your question?"

Sherwood nodded. "So, it could still mean absolutely nothing..." He said with a note of doubt in his voice.

"Well, if we have no choice anyway, we should get going," Amanda said.

Jess nodded. "Yes but it's the same with everything since the dawn of Spigots thirty years ago. I will say that in the last 10 years my gut feeling have been proven wrong once. And that was that were was another Spigot stronger than Rainbow Fox we have right now. So there's a one in thirty-five million chance of my gut being wrong."

1 in 35,000,000? Wow, those are pretty high odds. Sounds like there is something special about these anomalies then.

Now that Amanda was onboard, Sherwood stood up - assuming he should make the first move as mission leader.
"Right! To the dropbox then!" He exclaimed, as he looked round at the group of spigots.

"Yeah I like that idea," Alex nodded, "Let's go be big goddamn heroes!"

"Let us fufil our purpose and if need be, I will be the one to commit the neccessary act of killing the killers to spare those who have never killed before as i feel that the human mind may not be able to handle a kill for the first time. I do hope everyone won't be offended if i use the ceiling in this drop thing as it may be useful." Dick commented and would proceed to make his way towards the box.

Sherwood moved over to the door where Wallflower stood waiting. "Shall we?" He said to the shy man, gesturing with his hand for him to lead the way to the exit.

Viktor went with the others without a word.

Maddie took a deep breath, then went along with the others towards this so-called "Dropbox".

Amanda followed Sherwood and Alex.

Wallflower nodded, and stepped out, leading the small Anomalous group out. The corridors of the flying base was nice, carpeted, no exposed wiring or harsh metal walls. Liquored coated oak panels made it seem more like a hotel than a military base. A few turns in the corridor and they met a few interesting operatives, one had leaves and foliage bursting to explode from underneath their lab coat as they hurriedly stomped down the corridor past them, another had eyes that ever changed colors.

They came onto a steel door. DROPBOX stamped into the metal. Wallflower showed them in and stepped in after. The Dropbox had one hell of a drop. Railing were set to stop people from falling into the white cloudy sea below, and as a precaution there was a forcefield shimmering at the gap. "Hihi!!" They were bombarded by a girl with bright pink hair and the eyes to match, short and dressed in something that could be described as medical casual. "So you're the new ones right? Good good. Your ship is just going through the final checkups then we can install the A.I and that'd take no time at all. So you're going casual, no duds just badges? Right. That means you'd have to go for.." She held a tablet in her hand, quick swipes and pressed. "Yes. The director has authorised you for those at lease. Good."

Holding her hand out she presented it to them palm up. "Can one of you be a dear and pinch and pull my skin? It's all my Spig. Be as hard as you can."

"It is a pleasure to meet you." Dick greeted the girl and wasn't fazed by the fact that they would be dropping all from a very large height. "Please let me know when to stop or if i am harming you." He slowly began to pinch and pull on the girl's skin as hard as he could and would stop when she told him to.
