"Whilst some may want that, i feel that it should be up to Spectre to decide although that may mean i may be of very limited use due to the nature of my abilities without killing someone if we end up fighting the killers. I apologise if i have taken charge or done something i should not have." Dick replied to Amanda. Do i eat this thing later? Or is it something i need to wear? Why wear it? And this codename, seems to be involved with these things. Shame, no-one wants to find out but i shan't bother them with my own troubles. Ooo, i do hope i get to eat the same food as them instead of the usual things.

Sherwood began to feel a little nervous. People were looking to him to decide things, and he didn't know what was the best course of action to take.

"Erm. Let's take whatever weapons we feel confident using. Be ready to be offensive or defensive. Then once we've scoped out the place, we can decide what kind of action will be best. Yeah?"
Did that sound good? Should I have said something else?

He noticed that a few people had already started referring to him by his codename. "Also, are we calling each other by our codenames now? If so, what are everyone's names?"

Viktor could swear that Amanda was responding to him. Can she read my mind? Viktor decided to mentally recite the periodic table of elements to test his theory and it would be something he knew he'd have to continue to do in the future while around her if she could. Hydrogen, Helium, Lithium, Beryllium, Boron, Carbon...

Viktor made his way over to Dick who was struggling with his badge. "It's your code name, it's what we'll call you on missions." Viktor explained in a kind tone, he looked at what the badge said. "Drakon. Your code name is Drakon. Just keep it in your pocket, you can take it out if you need it."

"My badge says Aetherius," Amanda replied, "but you can call me Amanda. I don't think I'm much of an Aether type of person."

One of her eyebrows raised then, as she heard The Voice start to list elements. "What are you, a chemistry professor now?" she asked in a soft, but annoyed voice.

"Thank you, Viktor." Dick said after the doc had sorted out his badge for him and put it back into his pocket. "May i ask what does Drakon mean?" He inquired and partially expected someone to make fun of him for not being able to make out those odd scribbles on the badge.

Sherwood smirked at the codenames. "These names are all a bit cheesy." He squatted slightly, as if in an action pose. "Let's go, Aetherius! I think Drakon needs our help!" He jogged in slow motion, laughing as he did so.
"What's the point in fake names, really? Alex, what was yours again? Armament? You find it better to call yourself that when you're in the field?"

"Down to my line of work," Alex informed Sherwood, "I find it's best that certain questionable individuals don't find out my real name."

Amanda giggled at the performance being put on by Sherwood.

She stopped when Alex answered. "Oh," she said, "that actually makes sense for someone like you, I guess."

"I don't seem to be in any danger." Dick remarked unaware that Sherwood was joking and started to sniff the air to see if there was any danger in the room. "Come out wherever you are. I have no intention on harming you if you don't want to harm me." He called out seemingly to no-one as he slowly started to search the room.

"Yeah, that makes sense." Sherwood replied to Alex.

He looked over at Dick, as he commented on the lack of danger. He burst out laughing when the lizard man began talking to the non-existent intruder and started to prowl around the room.
"I was just joking, Dick! There's no one here."
He can be a bit blunt, but that guy's pretty funny!

"Seems like a poor lost puppy to me," Amanda said to The Voice, who she imagined was standing beside her.

"Oh. I do not know how to react to this." Dick told Sherwood as he ceased his search for no-one.

"I'm 'Mercury,' apparently," said Maddie, examining the badge and putting it on. Which doesn't really make sense - I can control temperature, I'm not controlled by it any more than anyone else. But... oh, well. At least it sounds kind of cool.

"Oh, and, I don't really want a weapon," she said meekly, after the discussion arose. "Well, actually I can probably take a taser, I guess. I want to defend myself, I just don't want to have to, you know... kill anyone."

"I'm sorry, Dick. I didn't mean to confuse you." Sherwood said genuinely.

He nodded at Maddie. "Yeah. Tasers would be good. We might have to bring someone back here to interrogate them."
Guns aren't going to do anything but make noise on this mission anyway. And what about Paul's neighbours?! Crikey, they would be dreadfully worried if they heard gunshots.

"I accept your apology but i feel that we should start leaving soon." Dick told Sherwood as he leaned against a wall.

"Err...yeah. Are we ready to go though? Should we do anything else to prepare?" Sherwood asked everyone.

"I've really got to share my concern here Spectre," Alex said to Sherwood, "It's better we go armed just incase- easier to have and not need over need and not have. Also, what happens if we're out for an extended period?"

Sherwood nodded at Alex. "Oh, sure, yes. Whatever people want to take -take. Don't let me stop you. I think you're the most qualified with planning this sort of thing, Alex, so you can tell us what you think is best." He held his hands up. "You certainly know more than I do, so feel free to recommend whatever you think will help us succeed."

"Oh no, your plan is solid," Alex said, "Just want my guns."

"Ok. Cool. Let's do that." Sherwood smiled, feeling quite proud that his plan had been approved by a professional mercenary.

"Do you... have somewhere that we can get some weapons?" He asked Jess.

Jess frowned. "Let's see give people who haven't had gun safety or back ground checks or conceal carry permits guns, and other assorted weapons. That won't go wrong at all will it!" She was being sarcastic for effect. "The weapons that you came in with will be presented to you at the drop box."

"Can I go home yet?" Amanda asked Jess. "I don't have any experience with any of this. I don't belong here."

I wasn't expecting her to give us machine guns and rocket launchers. I thought she'd give us something though, but I assume she knows that we won't really need anything. Sherwood thought after Jess replied.

Maddie arched her eyebrows. So either this is just a simulation exercise like Sherwood thinks, or they expect us to take down a bunch of armed murderers with nothing but our powers, she thought. Did I mention I'm starting to regret signing up for this?

"I believe that my abilities will be of great use and if they do have guns, i have learnt how to deal with humans with guns but i would like to suggest that i am not used to attack them directly as i do not believe i would withstand the guns. I do believe that i can take them up the rear and put them into a position where they are no longer harmful for us." Dick suggested to Spectre and the others. He had no doubt that it was real otherwise and hoped that some of the humans could handle the sight of blood, guts along with bones.
