Tried to google an answer with no luck so decided to ask here. I apologize if there's already a topic. Couldn't see one.

So... I finally got the extra effect perk and noticed this little thing. When I could apply only one effect, the magnitude of it was greater than now. Like, "increase your magicka" was 60 points with a grand soul gem but now, with the extra effect perk, it only allows me to put like "increase your magicka by 45 points". I don't remember the exact numbers but you got the idea. The magnitude of a single effect is now less powerful. Is this supposed to happen or am I suffering of some sort of glitch? I kinda could understand if it's intentional since they might want to prevent the player getting overpowered gear but I still find this a bit annoying.

I can't say I really noticed this before, so it could be right (it'd make sense to avoid you having too good weapons and to even out the ability of a single gem). Was this with the same weapon? Sorry I'm not more help, I haven't played Skyrim properly for a while :S

You know what, I'm a complete retard. I don't know how it escaped my eyes but now that I started the game again, it seems like those grand soul gems I tried to use just had a greater soul inside them. Not the grand one >_<. I could swear I tried it before with grand souls but maybe I'm just blind. Don't know how this happened either since I went to a giant killing spree and as far as I know they should have grand souls so I don't know how those freaking greater souls got there. Oh well... *face desk*
