Any hints? I always used to play as a Redguard in Morrowind and Oblivion for the 100% Warrior character but it seems like Orc is a way better choice in Skyrim. Any help? Instead of giving Redgaurd heavy armor and two-handed they gave them Alternation and Destruction (both Magic), not to even mention the Archery (Stealth).

The bonuses are so small I wouldn't say they matter at all really. 5 levels is not much in the scheme of things. I'd choose race based solely on preference and their Abilities/Powers, depending on whether roleplaying or stats is more important to you.

The bonuses are mediocre at best, and only apply to low levels. Just go off what you like best.

I beg to differ on the racial abilities. The Altmer for a starter have faster Magicka regen and this alone makes them one of the better choices, particularly for Mage characters. Still, as per my previous post, I'd tend to agree with you as far as skill boosts. Race doesn't strictly mean as much in Skyrim (although there is Mer/Man tension from a roleplaying perspective)
