Yo. Need some help guys. I can't find Erik the Slayer. He was automatically dismissed when Serana joined me for a quest. After finishing the Dawnguard DLC, Thieves Guild, MQ, Stormcloaks and Dragonborn, I walked into Rorikstead and he wasn't there. Checked the entire town, Frostfruit Inn, the last place he was dismissed , Gjukar's Monument and he's not there. But he isn't dead because he showed up at my wedding but then I messed up in that save so I had to load an earlier one. I really need him back because he has my Nightingale Armor and lot of other stuff.

Hmmm... The only thing I can think of is waiting 35 in-game days (preferably in a place like the Tower of Mzark) and seeing if he resets to where he's supposed to be.

Since you reverted to a save before the wedding, why not repeat the wedding?

Remastered has remastered my love of Skyrim. I haven't been able to play a whole lately, but it's been so long since I've played that I've forgotten a lot of things and the game is like new again. :D

Yeah that did it. Had to repeat the wedding about 12 times  Thanks!

Erik is indeed problematic as a pack mule. Sometimes he never moves from where I dismiss him (I parked him in Jorvasskr for safe-keeping once). Many times he never returns to Frostfruit Inn-- he wasn't kidding when he says he's done with farming.

People just have to avoid leaving valuables on him and consider him a possible write-off if you don't have a console command available to summon him.

I've never used Erik much since I really can't be assed to use followers since I got the remastered edition, but I had problems with him back on xbox 360 where he would vanish. He took an ax that I wanted to disenchant and I never found him again, plus companions still get stuck in doorways so I usually just run it solo which is fine since I've been using conjuration a lot lately.

A certain anime about breast milk just taught me about elements, but isn't quicksilver another name for mercury? http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Quicksilver If you're a vampire or have poison resistance items equipped, that's fine, but otherwise, wouldn't you get mercury poisoning from handling such ores and ingots barehanded?

I've never used Erik. For some reason I never got his dialogue to follow.

If you haven't done the quest Silenced Tongues, you can have your follower pick up the ceremonial sword that's in that dungeon. If you leave and never complete that quest, you now have a quest marker showing where your follower is. #ConfessionsOfASkyrimPS3Player

Erik is such a cutie. But Teldryn Sero > everyone. I love his attitude and he matches my play-style perfectly unlike Erik. But yeah I like Erik's personality so I hired him as my steward.

I've never been much of a fan of followers. They tend to just get in my way.

In my first playthrough (a mage) I brought Lydia along, but then I accidentally set her on fire and killed her during a fight. I reloaded and continued my game. Later on, she got stuck in a dungeon somewhere. I gave up on her and haven't really used followers since.

I use Annekke Crag-Jumper, but that's only because I can dress her up as Miraak and she actually uses his sword and staff.

I have a little question for you. I'm currently in Solstheim, trying to assassinate that damn loan shark Mogrul to stop him from sending those thugs after me all the time. But I seem to be unable to do so without being made. It feels scripted...I climbed the cliffs above Raven Rock, safely sneaking...let loose an arrow at him, and pop the potion of invisibilty and duck behind a pillar before the arrow hits. One hit kill, and I still have the guards searching for me.

So, how is it possible to safely kill him?

You don't necessarily need to kill him, ya know.

A poison apple sends a good message..

Shame you cant kill the hired thugs, and confront him over it.. Basically going like "Next time, send somebody who is actually a challenge" in an intimidating manner, and basically having him back down
