As I still like the look of this, here is the link for the Indiegogo campaign for convenience:

I'll try to contribute as soon as soon as I can. I know how it can be with people promising to contribute money at some undetermined point in the future, but I will make a solid effort to give what I can. I'll also try to nudge a forum moderator into adding the links to the first post.

Edit: You now have the links in the OP.

Hey - just dropping in to say thank you to everyone who visited / shared / contributed to the campaign, it's probably going to crack 6k today. So far so good!

Well, joining a forum to simply advertise a game you're making is indeed borderline spam.
However, this looks great and I can't say no to such a game. :c
Will donate if I have the chance.

Yeah it's walking a fine line for sure, I'm really glad folks have been receptive.

Hello again, everyone!

I shut down the IndieGoGo campaign after it became apparent that it was the wrong platform for the project. We got pretty far, but it's just not a gaming site. (I know, I know. You told me so. Or if not you specifically, others did.)

But the good news is we just relaunched on Kickstarter and the project is already doing tons better. It's 15% funded after just an hour and a half online. Search for FRONTIERS on KS and it'll pop up.

I wasn't going to post here until later this week but the early bird rewards are getting gobbled up way faster than I expected so I thought I'd let you know right away.

Anyhoo, thanks for your continued indulgence as I post updates about this project.

It is definitely getting up there much quicker. One fifth of the way there on day one.

I pledged on IndieGoGo and I would love to pledge on Kickstarter, but alas, I don't have a credit card and Kickstarter doesn't accept PayPal/debit cards. I will buy the full game once it releases, though. Best of luck!

I'll second the request for a PayPal-option, it's the only online payment-service I trust. If not, I'll just buy the game when it's released. The game looks really great and I'm really impressed that you've done it all yourself. All respect to you, man, and good luck with this!

Same here, PayPal would be great because I don't have a credit card. Still, if I don't get the chance to contribute now, I'm definitely buying the game when you release it. And given the fact that you're 40% there after just 2 days, I'd say it's a safe bet that you'll get the funding you need. :)

I'm still working on a PayPal option. When I get all my ducks in a row I'll post back here.

Over 50% funded! It's doing MUCH better this time around, thank goodness.

Hello, everyone! Just dropping in to let folks know that the much-requested PayPal contribution system has been (clunkily & imperfectly) implemented. You can find it at the top of the campaign page.

Before anyone heads over I want to be up front about the fact that PayPal contributions can't/won't count towards the main goal, only stretch goals. So keep that in mind before you decide to contribute. If we don't make the main goal you'll get a refund, but it may take a while due to general PayPal sluggishness.

The good news is we're at 75% as of today, and still going strong, so the odds of not getting funded are really slim at this point.

Cheers

Great! Just pledged 25$ via PayPal. I'm personally hoping it'll reach 100k so we get mod support.

Funded, and how! Lars, congratulations! You're 15K over the line and there's still 19 days to go, so I think it's safe to assume we will see most (if not all) of the goodness on the stretch goals list. :)

I had a bit of a financial disaster last week, so I'm not sure whether I'll be able to pledge $15 before the time runs out (right now it's either Frontiers or the phone bill, and the phone bill wins, unfortunately). But if I can't, I'm absolutely sure I'll buy the final product as soon as it's released. This game looks awesome.

I just came over here to make this thread, only to find it already exists! Made by the big cheese himself, no less. Makes some amount of sense.

It really does look like an awesome game. Tree villages and hang gliding and a cool magic mechanic and somewhat realistic broken bones and establishing campsites in the middle of nowhere and fast travel that's actually just really fast travel, with a cinematic and everything. And lots of other exciting points, but those are my top points.

Did I mention that one of the rewards is the ability to write a lore book?

I'm seriously excited about this. And really hoping for co-op multiplayer, which is why I'm actually sort of advertising. I never do that.

Ha, beat ya to it! :D

The game is over 240% funded at this point, we're just a few grand shy of co-op multiplayer, and I think we're going to hit it. (3 days left.) So thanks again to everyone who dropped by, and thanks to anyone who told a friend. Word of mouth ended up having far more of an impact than anything I could have done on my own.

And will Frontiers have the political intrigue, as well as social subtleties, that Daggerfall did?
